I have used Libre 3.4 to convert PDF's in Draw.
The only problem is the pages do not always line up, but images are in their
right place in relation to the text, which for me is the important thing.
You need to use the extension PDF Import 1.0.5

appears as a framed PDF. Really the fix would be for Geoff to open the
QUANTA website either in a new page or as the top of the frames (so it would
take over the whole window) as frames are more often used to load pages from
a single source (Geoffs web site makes it look like QUANTA is a part of his
site as opposed to being a seperate site).

I could put (or get someone to put) some code on the page to force this but
I try to avoid it as it can cause more problems than it solves.

2011-08-16 Thread Dilwyn Jones
I have to say, the web site is looking grand. Well done to all concerned.
A couple of mistakes (Check Dilwyns Test News Item - should that be seen?
Probably not) but I'm honestly not complaining.
No, Dan put it there for me to have something to work on as I was having
difficulty accessing the news plug-in from the old PC. Not sure why, as
Keith logged in as me and it was OK from his end. Haven't tried the new PC
on it yet (you don't want Quanta website down for ANOTHER 12 months do
you???)

Probably one of the reasons that the website launch wasn't particularly
publicised. It's there, but we know a few things need tidying up. Sadly for
me, the arrival of the new site coincided with the move to a new PC with a
(to me) unfamiliar operating system, so I wasn't able to "put in the hours"
on the Quanta website as I should have.

It's fast, even on a wireless link here at work (!!!) and looks good.
Dan put in a lot of work on it and was very patient even when we were
sending him long lists of stuff to change while he was trying to hold down a
full time job.
