Re: [ql-users] Perfection: my take on it
H. Now I'm confused. I was told by Mark years ago that Freddy gave the OK for Perfection to be released as freeware. So, providing you (Dave) are OK about releasing any of your modifications on the public, I don't see what the problem is. I made an agreement with Freddy Vaccha aka digital precison to upgrade perfection and possibly to release it as freeware. I have made it work with larger screens and possibly on the ql emulator for the amiga. Unfortunatly any further developement has gone to sllep in the last four years. For what its worth Perfection has not been released as freeware or public domain and I would need permission from Freddy Vaccha to relase the binary let alone the sources to the general QL community. For what its worth what I got when I received the Perfection sources was just the assembler sources to the Perfection program and the basic sources to the configurator , no notes othe than commants in the assembler sources. - David Gilham - The universe is a queer place ___ QL-Users Mailing List http://www.quanta.org.uk/mailing.htm This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they are addressed. Re: [ql-users] QL2004
- Original Message - From: Brian Kemmett Subject: Re: [ql-users] QL2004 I'm just sad I can't make it as I'm sure there is just a few questions I would love to put forward. Of course, there is nothing to stop non-attenders raising matters they would like discussed, although you might just be asked to supply more information. One further thought inspired by a private email. How do we do feedback? I am not expecting any great interest from the Quanta Magazine and although, I'm sure, QL-Today will provide its usual excellent coverage, there is the problem that Dilwyn will not be at QL2004 because of his work responsibilities. If necessary I could keep the QL2004 website active for a little while longer to give a full report of the proceedings, but I would want this to be more than just pictures. (I would include links to other's picture sites.) We would need people who are prepared to write about their show impressions in general, but also others who would concentrate on specific items which should include: Urs Koenig's introduction Jon Dent's internet update Expansion card progress Forum discussion Any significant technical discussions or decisions. If this idea is feasible, it would probably take me at least a week to set the site up.
