[qmailadmin] ? in vpop+mysql.

2003-09-29 Thread Aldren
Hi all,

I have a doubt using vpop+mysql. in the new version
of vpopmail, I saw that there's no more the needing
to configure the vmysql.h, but, using the file
~vpopmail/etc/vpopmail.mysql i really need to use
mysql with port listen. for those that use mysql
as RAW, is there a way to configure it in a new
config file ?

thanks

Re: [qmailadmin] .qmailadmin-limits.

2003-07-22 Thread Aldren
Hi Tom,

In fact I am using vpopmail with mysql, you can see below how is it´s
configuration:

./configure --enable-roaming-users=y \
--enable-tcpserver-file=/services/vpopmail/etc/tcp.smtp \
--enable-relay-clear-minutes=60 \
--enable-auth-logging=y \
--enable-mysql-logging=y \
--enable-mysql-limits=y \
--enable-logging=v \
--enable-log-name=vpopmail \
--enable-mysql=y \
--enable-libdir=/usr/lib \
--enable-incdir=/usr/include/mysql

I would like to know if there is any possibility that my vpopmail version
causes this problem, since you´re using 5.3.19 and I´m using .20 or maybe
someting with my configure.

Anyway, I´ll compile .19 version and test, then I´ll report the results to
you.

Thanks

Ok, my .qmailadmin-limits looks like this:

 maxaliases: 30

 maxautoresponders: 30
 ~$

If is there anything wrong, please let me know. I also tried with
 colon, but
 I got the same return: accounts/unlimited (30/unlimited).

 I'm using vpopmail-5.3.20 and qmailadmin-1.0.24

That file format is fine, colons are optional. I tested it on my
development machine (with 5.3.19 and 1.0.25) and it worked.

Did you by any chance compile vpopmail with --enable-mysql-limits? If
so, vpopmail uses MySQL to store the limits instead of the
..qmailadmin-limits file.

--enable-mysql-limits=y|n Turn on (y) or off (n, default) mysql
handling of .qmailadmin-limits

In fact, the file with colons is generated by vqadmin utility, however I
had no issues with this funcionality in version 1.0.6.

if i configure .qmailadmin-limits - maxpopaccounts: 100, in the cgi
qmailadmin access don't show me the accounts/100, show unlimited
 anyway.

I think you will find it needs to be
 maxpopaccounts 100
 rather than
 maxpopaccounts: 100

Is there a help file somewhere that we need to fix? Was there an
example that said to use the colon?

I just tested this on my machine, and it worked fine. Can you email me
a copy of the .qmailadmin-limits file? I'll do some more testing to
try to find the cause of the problem. Since QmailAdmin uses vpopmail
to read that file, it could be a bug in vpopmail. I'll track it down,
wherever it is, and make sure it's fixed in the next release of
vpopmail or qmailadmin.
