If you mean /FOREVER/, then there *might* be something abnormal. If you mean for as long as it takes to deliver or to bounce, then it's fairly normal. You can see why msgs are not being delivered instantly by examining your logs. This question is probably better asked on the qmail list, where you will be advised to check the archives before asking a question that seems to be asked a few hundred times a year. check the archives. The qmailqueue patch is required to use any qmail-queue replacement (even without --enable-custom-smtp-reject). It's included in netqmail 1.05.
