RE: [qmailtoaster] ClamAV problem
Not mine no. Very annoying problem, before the 0.90 update this file passed through fine. It's affecting one of our clients financial runs and is obviously causing concern. So far the only thing I can think of is to turn of Archive scanning but I really don't want to do that. I can't seem to find any referance or mention to whitelisting emails for AV. We can bypass for the spam scanning no problem but not AV?? -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 17 April 2007 20:17 To: qmailtoaster-list@qmailtoaster.com Subject: Re: [qmailtoaster] ClamAV problem Hi. RE: [qmailtoaster] ClamAV problem
The only way I've been able to sort this is to whitelist the specific sending email address from clamav. So any mail the address that sends the zip file sends doesn't get scanned by clamav at all. This is an exteme fix, but in our case, the only mail that ever comes from that address is the one with the zip attachment that is part of an automated process. To do this, I added their address to the simcontrol file and set [EMAIL PROTECTED] clam=no,spam=no. It would help if we could block specific files though. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 17 April 2007 20:17 To: qmailtoaster-list@qmailtoaster.com Subject: Re: [qmailtoaster] ClamAV problem Hi. Re: [qmailtoaster] Spamassassin not working for my RELAYCLIENT
Hey all, I'm trying to find the answer to this question: http://www.mail-archive.com/qmailtoaster-list@qmailtoaster.com/msg06401.html Basically, I do have an open relay but only for certain IPs (in my IP range). However, I do want to scan emails being relayed through for spam, but I can't get it to do that, nor find a stable answer in this mailing list's archives. I don't know, maybe I'm searching with the wrong terms, or this is no answer. My tcp.smtp for this range is this: xx.xx.xx.:allow,RELAYCLIENT=,QMAILQUEUE=/var/qmail/bin/simscan,BADMIMETY PE=, ... etc Any help would be great. RE: [qmailtoaster] Spamassassin not working for my RELAYCLIENT
Well, I would try that, however I do believe auth'd users are already being scanned for spam (or at least blacklist checked). The emails being relayed in my case also are NOT authenticated.. it's kind of an open relay, but restricted to IP. Thus, they don't authenticate when delivering an email to my qmailtoaster server. -Original Message- From: PakOgah [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, April 18, 2007 9:14 AM To: qmailtoaster-list@qmailtoaster.com Subject: Re: [qmailtoaster] Spamassassin not working for my RELAYCLIENT Jared Markell wrote: Hey all, I'm trying to find the answer to this question: http://www.mail-archive.com/qmailtoaster-list@qmailtoaster.com/msg0640 1.html Basically, I do have an open relay but only for certain IPs (in my IP range). Re: [qmailtoaster] squirrelmail sluggish
The only time I've seen Squirrelmail getting sluggish was when I was having db issues in my toaster. IMAP (Outlook etc) worked fine but webmail did not as it was reading user preferences etc from the db. Of course it could also be your Apache not behaving well. What's the CPU / memory / IO utilisation on that box like? Cheers, Peter On 4/18/07, David Milholen [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: what would make squirrel mail slow down to a snails excution? Like when you tell Outlook to leave the message on the server for 7 days, after Outlook has downloaded them, they will be moved to the cur dir, until Outlook removes them at the 7 day limit. and if Mr X sends email back to aunt lilly , certainly it is on the server until it can be delivered to aunt lilly's server so where is the sent mail go? The messages waiting to go out will be stored in /var/qmail/queue (in one of the sub folders, depending on what needs to be done, usually in another subfolder) until it is delivered. smime.p7s Description: S/MIME Cryptographic Signature
