Re: [qmailtoaster] Messages from outside

2007-05-03 Thread

Hi,

I'm sending all the required files to see if we can find the reason of the
problem here:

1.The maildir actually exists for both test and test2 users.

2.The vuserinfo reports that both users exists and their maildir boxes are

/home/vpopmail/domains/company.com/test

/home/vpopmail/domains/company.com/test2

3.Both users exists on company_com table in vpopmail db with their correct
passwords.

4.Contents of files involved:

4.1.rcpthosts

company.com

mailhost2.company.com

mailhost2.company.net

company.gr

company.net

4.2.locals

localhost

mailhost2.company.com

mailhost2.company.net

4.3.defaulthost

company.com

4.4.defaultdomain

company.com

4.5.virtualdomains

company.com:company.com

company.net:company.net

4.6.assign (you didn't ask for it but I send maybe it helps)

+company.com-:company.com:89:89:/home/vpopmail/domains/company.com:-::

+company.net-:company.com:89:89:/home/vpopmail/domains/company.com:-::

I got MHonArc included in the next release. It gets installed, but I

I've also gotten the RoundCube Webmail installation script completed. I
went ahead and posted a copy of the installation script on my website

install this in a production environment. You will need to edit some
variables in the head of the script to fit your needs. The script will
download the installation and configure the system
Once the script has run, the users will still have access to
Squirrelmail by using /webmail but they will also have access to
RoundCube by using either /roundcube or /rcm

I'm using the install script for CentOS 5064

When using the install script I get to the qmailadmin-toaster and get
the following error:

Yet the ezmlm toaster seemed to install fine.

Any help is appreciated.

In QMT-ISO-1.1 it's not installing qmailadmin for some reason. It has
something to do with the new version downloaded. It will install
manually though. I am working on a respin of the ISO now to correct this.
In the next respin (1.2) I will be updating all Cent packages as well as
all QMT packages. I will also be including a script that can be run
after installation that will install Roundcube for you.
Give me a few days for the respin, and in a week or so I will be
offering a Roundcube install script on my site.
Thanks, and if anyone has any last minute fixes/suggestions please send

what version of centos are you going to use? still 4.4 or 5.0?
I haven't try centos 5 yet.
anyway can you put a mailinglist archive script like www.mail-archive.com?
I think it use moharc http://www.mhonarc.org/

It'll be Cent4.4. To be honest I do not foresee releasing a Cent5
version. Cent5 seems a little bloated to me and I would rather stick
with something that has been tried and is true.
I'll look at the mailing list archive thing. I'm hoping to cut a release
this weekend, so it may not make it into this release.

2007-05-03 Thread

After reinstalling QMT I created again a virtual domain and an alias domain
with vaddaliasdomain. It updated the virtualdomains file and the assign file.

I tried again to send an email from the internet to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and to
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

The results of the logs are the following:

>From /var/log/maillog

It seems to me that everything is OK about authentication. Please correct me if
I'm wrong, but I'm still receiving this annoying message:

This is my second installation and I have the same problem again.

I'm ready to give up and leave qmail if nobody can help me to solve this
problem.

Any idea?

Yep. The guide on the wiki (I think it's on there) for a backup MX is
almost exactly the same.
I think to be a fairly good spam appliance toaster must have some sort
of "recipients verification checks" different from chkuser .

While chkuser is good for locally hosted domains, it's not usable for
smtp gateways wich does not have any local domain .

Would be useful if toster could incorporate the:validrcptto.cdb patch:

or the spamcontrol rcpt verification patch .

Have fun,
Davide
