[qmailtoaster] DomainKeys question

2010-02-12 Thread Scott Hughes
I have installed Qmail Toaster via the QMT5ISO and it seems to be up and
running for all of my domains. In the wiki for the after-install processes
that I followed (
http://wiki.qmailtoaster.com/index.php/QMT-ISO_Manual_Guide#Disabling_domainkeys)
it tells me to disable the domainkeys by running the command: ln -sf
qmail-queue.orig qmail-queue and then restarting the qmail processes.

I have attempted to now use domain keys by following the video that Jake
Vickers produced. It does not appear to be working.

Here is my question after a short email discussion with Jake. Am I linked
correctly? Here is the output of ls -al on the /var/qmail/bin directory:

total 1248
drwxr-xr-x 2 root qmail 4096 Feb 12 08:59 .

To change the symlink for qmail-queue back to the one with the domainkeys
 patch:

 # cd /var/qmail/bin
 # ln -sf qmail-dk qmail-queue

qmail-queue should point to either qmail-queue.orig or qmail-dk, depending
on if you want domainkeys processing or not.

Can anyone tell me waht this error means and how to fix please.
it is in: /var/log/secure , multiple times

sorry, you must have a tty to run sudo ; TTY=unknown ; PWD=/ ; USER=vpopmail ;
COMM AND=/usr/bin/sa-learn --sync

Yeah. In order to sudo to vpopmail to run sa-learn from a cron job, sudo
needs to be configured to allow processes that are not attached to a
terminal to use sudo.

To change the sudo configuration,
# visudo
will put you into edit with vi on the sudo configuration file. You
should use this command to edit the sudo configuration. Find the line
that says requiretty and comment it out, as such:

#Defaultsrequiretty

That should fix it.

[qmailtoaster] Spam folder

2010-02-12 Thread Scott Hughes
I have configured QMT to utilize spambox. To do this I used the QMT
wiki and watched the video.

My problem is that my users are getting spam (marked as ***SPAM***) in
thier Inbox. No folder is being created.

I have completely stopped, verified full stop and restarted QMT.

I cannot find anything via wiki/FAQ/google. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

The SPAM folder is only shown if the user is using IMAP or webmail.
I don't know how or why the SPAM would be reaching them though.

We need to see a message header to answer this better. The ISO you used
already had the spambox enabled.
A message is MARKED as spam when it reaches a score of 5.0 (unless you
changed this in the /etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf file). To get moved
into the Spam folder, it has to hit a different score (in
/etc/mail/mailfilter and is 8.0 I believe.). When a message hits that
score, it will get moved into the Spam folder (if the folder does not
exist, one is created). When a message hits a score of 12.0 or more (I
think 12 is the default, and is defined in the
/var/qmail/control/simcontrol file, spam_hits) it gets deleted and never
delivered to the user.

Thanks for that concise description Jake. I just want to be clear
though, that a score of 12 or more isn't technically deleted, it's
rejected at the smtp session level. This still results in no delivery
(anywhere) to the recipient, and the sending server is supposed to
bounce the message back to the sender. At least that's my understanding.
(Seems like we've been over this before - getting a deja vu moment?)

And as Maxwell (real names change to protect the innocent) stated, this
will only be visible if the user is using imap or webmail (webmail uses
imap).

Hope that helps.

found in the assign file But it is in the assigns file ,
