[qmailtoaster] Clam-av update

2010-08-12 Thread Frank Ombech
Hi,
Im trying to upgrade clamav using the qtp-newmodel script, but
it's not upgrading; im still stuck at clamav version 0.96.0 instead of
0.96.1. What i've noticed is that the script is still downloading
the old rpm. Has someone managed to upgrade their clamav? and how?
thanks.

body LOCAL_DEMONSTRATION_RULE /test/

score LOCAL_DEMONSTRATION_RULE 5

Now, this rule is pretty simple as rules go. It will match test but also
testing and attest and assign the score to 5 and if score reach to 5,
subject should be replace with ***spam***.

But it is not working in my setup.

Below is my tcp.smtp file.

:allow,BADMIMETYPE=,BADLOADERTYPE=M,CHKUSER_RCPTLIMIT=5,CHKUSER_WRONGR
CPTLIMIT=10,DKSIGN=/var/qmail/control/domainkeys/%/private

Please let me know what to do to get it done.

I am testing the same in same domain.

If you're testing withing the same domain with an authenticated user, it
won't work.
Also your :allow line is missing the QMAILQUEUE variable, so emails coming
in from the outside are not being passed to simscan to score.

The problem appears to be here:
USER_IN_WHITELIST
You have the user defined in your local.cf file as whitelisted, so
they start with a -100 score. As spamassassin adds together all of
the positive scores, they end up with a -66.8, so this user will
never have their mail deleted as spam.

Could it be a wildcard whitelist for hotmail in local.cf? Because I
doubt this user would have been manually added to local.cf.

Bharath

Possible. It would only be guessing until the local.cf is provided.

Hi Suhag,

Please find steps below to compile Simscan with Enable-Spam-Auth-User:

1) Download src rpm file.
2) rpm -i simscan-toaster-*.src.rpm
3) cd /usr/src/redhat/SPEC
4) vim simscan-toaster.spec
5) Go to line number 490 i.e. authernticated users scanned = OFF and
change OFF to ON.
6) Now go to line number 563 i.e. --enable-custom-smtp-reject. Below
this line add 1 more line mentioning --enable-spam-auth-user

7) Close the SPEC file.
8) rpmbuild -ba --target-i386 simscan-toaster.spec
9) cd ../RPMS/i386
10) qmailctl stop
11) rpm -Uvh simscan*.rpm

I think this last step could be the problem. I think you'd need to:
# rpm -Uvh --replacepkgs simscan*.rpm

You should be able to tell if your custom package is installed or not by
doing:

# rpm -qi simscan-toaster
It should show the line in step 5 where you changed OFF to ON.

 Thanks Amit,

I have followed your instructions on my setup.

I am trying to setup spamassassin and below is my test.cf file.

 [r...@spd spamassassin]# pwd

 /etc/mail/spamassassin

 [r...@spd spamassassin]# cat test.cf

 body LOCAL_DEMONSTRATION_RULE /test/

 score LOCAL_DEMONSTRATION_RULE 5

describe LOCAL_DEMONSTRATION_RULE This is a simple test rule

Now, this rule is pretty simple as rules go. It will match test but
also testing and attest and assign the score to 5 and if score reach
to 5, subject should be replace with ***spam***.

*But it is not working in my setup.*

 Below is my tcp.smtp file.

 [r...@spd spamassassin]# cat /etc/tcprules.d/tcp.smtp

127.:allow,RELAYCLIENT=,QMAILQUEUE=/var/qmail/bin/simscan,DKSIGN=/var/q
mail/control/domainkeys/%/private

 192.168.10.:allow,RELAYCLIENT=,QMAILQUEUE=/var/qmail/bin/simscan

Would someone care to create a wiki page with this information?
I'd like to see a Tips Tricks page: Using Gmail as a secondary server.

TIA to whoever takes this on. Perhaps a little collaboration is
 appropriate.

  Hi Atul.,

  1) Can you shed some light on, when you fetch all mails from the Gmail
‘catch-all’ account to QMT, how do you distribute the emails to the
  users respective email boxes.

   poll pop.gmail.com
  proto pop3
  port 995
  localdomains yourdomainname
  archive yourdomainname
  no dns
  envelope X-Envelope-To:
  qvirtual yourdomainname
  user catchallusername
  pass catchallpassword
  is *
  nokeep
  fetchall
  ssl
  forcecr
  flush
  dropdelivered

X-Envelope-To is * help to deliver all mails to respective user.

  2) And when you say ‘catch-all’ account, does it mean you are having
  only one account in Gmail?

No I'm having 10 real accounts and 1 catchall account.

  3) How do you handle the spam mails that come to this ‘catch-all’
 account?

Google Anti-Spam works pretty good, at least I didn't find any
problem. And in my case Google server is on secondary priority, so
genuine mails directly come to my QMT first. So all spam mails which are
directly sent on google server doesn't come to my server and google
anti-spam put those spam mails in its SPAM folder.

  4) Also with respect to the below thread, how do we handle scenarios
given by me when we have few email boxes in Gmail and some in QMT?

Pretty tough to answer, but I would suggest go in reversible way. For
example, if amit is the id which you want on google server and atul is
the id which you want on QMT server then create amit as real id on both
google as well as QMT server. Keep MX priority for QMT server. Now there
is fetchmail option in google so fetch all mails of amit from QMT server
to Google server. And only provide Google server details to user so he
will always send mail from google server.

  Regards,

  Amit

Hi Vinay,

I never tried it, but I think fetchmail also has IMAP retrieval
facility. If it is there then you can have fetchmail IMAP retrieval
for a specific account.
