 Frank,

qtp-newmodel cannot create a fresh sandbox for you because there is
something accessing the old one. Perhaps a terminal window where you have
cd'd into the sandbox tree (/mnt/qtp-sandbox/...)? Make sure that there is
nothing accessing the sandbox tree, and try again.

I only need qmail toaster with DomainKeys, and POP3 service.

You do not need to install the additional packages. If you install
using one of the documents on the site, you can probably stop after
vqadmin-toaster, unless you do not need the web packages, in which
case you can omit them as well.

-

Just to be clear, you don't need vqadmin-toaster either. I never
install it.

As I said - unless he needs the web tools, in which case he can omit
them. He asked about not installing clamav/spam/etc.

-

I see. I didn't make the connection between web tools and vqadmin. I
guess I wasn't awake yet. ;)

We should actually start a thread on this on the devel list - if it's
still broken after the next vpopmail update, I'm inclined to not include
it in v2.

-

I'm so inclined as well, assuming next vpopmail update is 5.5.x.

Your hdb1 partition is mounted at /usr/mnt/hdb1, but your qtp-config is
pointing to /mnt/hdb1.

Assuming there's nothing you want to keep on /mnt/hdb1 (I don't see
anything there that's not disposable), I would fix this by doing:

# rm -rf /mnt/hdb1
# umount /dev/hdb1

Then edit /etc/fstab, replacing /usr/mnt/hdb1 with /mnt/hdb1, and then:

I think that'll fix it up.

The other domains have been with us for a while.
I like using vqadmin to manage the domains and be able to see on the
fly when users have logged in.

This is what I get in the HTTPD error_log

Premature end of script headers: toaster.vqadmin, referer: http://63.147.8.12/mail/vqadmin/toaster.vqadmin

8.12 is the temp ip this machine has.

Search back in the archives - you need to edit the database to get
vqadmin to work correctly again. It lists the numebr of users as
21469839587 or something silly like that, and you need to change it to
0

I did this and the above was the result.. What is weird is that only
the most recent domain is fine. The others will return this error.

If I use qcontrol to view them the one domain is fine but the rest are
not present.

Ugh.. Ive been at it for a while and dont know where else to look.

You'll need to look at your database structure to compare it against
the "working" one and the restored. Something is different there - I've
used the script to backup/restore 20+ servers without issue.

I fixed the issue with the backup portion and everything restores but
for some reason the domains when being displayed in vqadmin will give a
500 error on the page. All except one..
I did some looking at the database and did some comparing and cannot
find any differences than what you spoke about.
I corrected these and made it look like the working domain but still
same issue.

Is there is a dump you want me to perform to show the errors when I try
to display the page?

Seeing some logs will be helpful.
Are you doing anything else not mentioned? Going from an older version
to a new? From 32-bit to 64-bit?
Does the uid/gid of vpopmail match on both servers?

Ok,
Both machine have similar hardware.
This is the new machine:

Linux ns4 2.6.18-194.8.1.el5 #1 SMP Thu Jul 1 19:07:06 EDT 2010 i686

Both UID/GID are the same at 89.

Here is the httpd.error_log from the new machine. This occurs as soon
as you attempt to view any domain.

2010-08-17 Thread Eric Shubert
Hmmm. You're getting into new territory, as I don't think unionfs has
been done with a partition scheme such as this.

The way unionfs is set up, you cannot put UPGRADE_DIR in the /mnt
branch, because that branch isn't mapped in the unionfs. I think you'll
be fine if you put UPGRADE_DIR back to /usr/src/qtp-upgrade (in the
qtp-config file). That directory doesn't hold all that much, and you
have plenty of room there.

Now that I look a little closer, I think I'd put all 3 directories under
/usr/qtp/ (edit qtp-config):

export UPGRADE_DIR=/usr/qtp/qtp-upgrade
export SANDBOX=/usr/qtp/qtp-sandbox
export OVERLAY=/usr/qtp/qtp-overlay
I'm pretty sure that will work, and you don't really need /dev/hdb1 at
all with the unionfs sandbox.

Assuming there's nothing you want to keep on /mnt/hdb1 (I don't see
anything there that's not disposable), I would fix this by doing:
# rm -rf /mnt/hdb1
# umount /dev/hdb1
# rmdir /usr/mnt/hdb1

Then edit /etc/fstab, replacing /usr/mnt/hdb1 with /mnt/hdb1, and then:
# mount /mnt/hdb1

I think that'll fix it up.

[qmailtoaster] New Model issue

2010-08-17 Thread Mike Canty
I have seen a few posts on problems with the qtp-newmodel script. As I
wasn't running this at the time, I did not look too closely. However, I
thought I too should update to make sure all was well.

I should have read those posts more carefully. My qtp-newmodel is also
failing, after asking to install the unionfs/overlay sandbox.

The issue appears to be related to a missing repository, should I have this
repository already, or do I need to create one? I am running CentOS 5.5
(32Bit). Please see the error below.

You can either grab the latest qtp-install-rpmforge and qtp-dependencies
scripts from the qtp svn repository, or just wait a while. I recommend
waiting, as it's easier and there is a new clamav that's not quite in
the current package list yet (meaning qtp-newmodel won't see it).

[qmailtoaster] is it posible to change header at qmail?

2010-08-17 Thread Hajid

Delivered-To: b...@dbb.com === Cacth-all email account

Received: (qmail 9114 invoked by uid 89); 16 Aug 2010 11:48:07 -

Delivered-To: c...@travel.com I need change this header like: rcpt-to

Before it I used merak mail server then I changed to qmailtoaster.

At branch office used Popbeamer to collect email from Mail Server.

Merak Mail Server / catch-all account Popbeamer / used envelope-to
header --- Local Mail Server

Qmail Mail Server / catch-all account Popbeamer / used Delivered-to

After changed to qmail, Popbeamer deliver email To: b...@dbb.com ===
Cacth-all email account to local Mail Server. Because user b...@dbb.com
doesn't exist at local mail server then local mail will send bounce message
to sender. Need advice.

While I'm having difficulty understanding your request, I think perhaps
you're looking for something that is not the best solution to your
situation.

I'm presuming that you're using Popbeamer to fetch email to an Exchange
(local) server. If that's the case, I expect it would be better to
simply use smtproutes to send the email on to Exchange directly and get
rid of Popbeamer entirely. Then the mail can be delivered directly to
Exchange w/out QMT having to store it (other than in the queue).

In that case, smtproutes
(http://wiki.qmailtoaster.com/index.php/Smtproutes) is typically used to
send the email on to Exchange. Feel free to ask if you have any
questions about such a configuration.
