Ehm, not exactly...

But there could be all sorts of problems, mostly because the server gets
too busy so it doesn't react for a period of time (time outs on the smtp
part so mails got sent again; dups!).

Mine too is barely used, but I do sometimes get duplicates.

As for the perl dependencies, you should install them with rpm's! Look
in the wiki for explanations (I don't know exactly).

This error should also give you clues:
qtp-build-rpms - rpmbuild failed for spamassassin-toaster-3.2.4-1.3.13

Good luck,

Duplicates are created when there is a hang in the process somewhere - I
would rebuild and reinstall simscan. It needs to be compiled against
certain packages, and these packages are sometimes installed AFTER simscan
is rebuilt, so it builds against the old files.

Not being a programmer, I have not been able to spend much time trying to

I suggest you should do an upgrade (check qtp-ami-up2date for packages).
As mentioned on this list, you can do this easiest with the
qtp-newmodel. See
http://wiki.qmailtoaster.com/index.php/Upgrading
for more info.

While my server is mostly doing nothing, I too have sometimes delayed
mail, especially when clamav is doing a database reload. Nothing to
worry about though.

Good luck,

Re: [qmailtoaster] Problems with Clamd update

2008-04-27 Thread cas
Hey,

You probably have another mrtg running: check /etc/cron.d/ for a cron
job and delete that one, this will remove the 5 min messages.

For clarity, these are the contents of the cron job:
*/5 * * * * root LANG=C LC_ALL=C /usr/bin/mrtg /etc/mrtg/mrtg.cfg \
--lock-file /var/lock/mrtg/mrtg_l --confcache-file /var/lib/mrtg/mrtg.ok

Clamav and Spamassassin I'll leave to Jake and Erik to solve, or check
the list for upgrade qtp-newmodel errors.

Good luck,
Cas

I did a 'yum update qmailtoaster-plus' a minute ago, but it seems that
clamav hasn't been updated to 0.93.
When I run 'qtp-menu' I can see the new spamdyke and gnome scripts, so
it has done something?

Did I do something wrong?

Re: [qmailtoaster] ISOQLOG2.1 Issue

2008-01-21 Thread cas
Well, looks like your toaster is bouncing messages. Check for that in
the qmail manuals (double bounces in fact).

The bounced mail is probably from a crontab line, where some program
like mrtg or your mailing list wants to mail a log file every hour or
so.

The bounced mail you can find in the mailbox of root.

Hope this helps...

Greetings,

Casper
