Hello,

I have just installed all the 23 packages of Qmail toaster on Fedora core 6
i386 and I have some questions to ask since I'm new to Qmail secrets.

1. After installation does the clamav start automatically to interact with
Qmail? I ask this because I saw the following processes running after the
installation without modifying any config file yet:

root 1881 1852 0 Apr25 ?00:00:00 supervise clamd
qmaill1889 1882 0 Apr25 ?00:00:00 /usr/bin/multilog t s100

clamav1972 1 0 Apr25 ?00:00:00 /usr/bin/freshclam -d -p
/var/run/clamav/freshclam.pid

2.Again same question for Spamassassin: Does it start automatically to interact
with Qmail after installation without modyfing the config files?

I found the following processes after reboot:

root 1877 1852 0 Apr25 ?00:00:00 supervise spamd
qmaill1892 1878 0 Apr25 ?00:00:00 /usr/bin/multilog t s100

vpopmail 2413 1901 0 Apr25 ?00:00:00 spamd child
vpopmail 2414 1901 0 Apr25 ?00:00:00 spamd child

Could anybody explain me this interaction? Are Clamav and Spamassassin really
working right now with Qmail and doing their jobs properly?

Yes. The RPMs you get from the site are already setup to work with the
rest of the Qmail package you downloaded from there.

i had nothing but problems when i built
qmailtoaster on my SLES 10 box. Johannes had built a script that eventually
worked for me, that actually installed everything properly and ran my toaster
fine. I would just need the okay from Johannes to pass that on to you. I didnt
write it, so im not sure if i can forward it.

Good day!!

I installed qmail-toaster on a SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 10, with the
sus10164 flag.

But seems that Clamav and SpamAssassin are not working...
I sent a mail with eicar virus text file and *.pif files and
qmail-toaster allows it.
The file /var/qmail/control/simcontrol is as default and Clamav is up to
date.

What should I do know?

Regards
