Taking the generic (thanks Medicaid) for severe pain that is pure
Hell. Tried it before at 900mg, no relief. New Pain Doc wants me to
try 1800mg.

Medicaid won't cover Lyrica, tried it once at 75mg 3x per day
(samples from Doc), no relief. Even Morphine does nothing.

Today at 300 mg neurontin 2x per day. Been building up for 3 weeks.
All it does is make me sleep. To the point where I wish I wouldn't
wake up.

Why are you taking it? Are you on the generic or name brand? There is a big
difference in reaction time in the two.

I started taking it for nerve pain. When I started having seizures, doc
just upped my dose. Seems everytime I try to get off it, the pain sets in
 again.

Currently taking it for both pain seizures.

The dry mouth is the pits. Be sure brush your teeth often. It can cause
 your teeth to rot out.

Is the teeth rotting just for Neurontin or for all pregabalins?

It is the dry mouth caused by the drug. It is so bad my teeth stick to my
lips. GROSS!

Re: [QUAD-L] FW: Big Virus

2008-05-17 Thread Tod E. Santee
Hi Stacy (and fellow Qs):

It's extra important to know this one often does look like it came from a
friend or family member. It uses their Address Book and sends it to you From
them using their real email address.

The best bet -IF- you get an e-Card from anybody, is to send them a quick note,
using your own Address Book; not a Reply within the Card, and ask if it
actually IS a real card sent from them!! If so, you're typically safe.

Extra Note: Several hoaxes have been passed on lately saying, I checked on
Snopes. Here's the link, with th expectation you'll believe it was checked
rather than taking the time to check for yourself.

So, I *DID* check this Postcard one and it is NOT a hoax -- it's a real
Virus / Worm!

And finally, it should be noted that almost half of this message was email
addesses (I snipped 'em out). In the case of a real virus, worm, trojan, etc.
this is perfect fodder for harvesting even more addresses to attack. I try to
always remove all the Fwd addresses because of this PLUS it just keeps my
friend's/family's emails private -- just as they'd like them.

Best regards,
--Tod

clicking on a link in an email is like drinking from a paper bag covered bottle
from someone on the street.  if he's your friend, ok; if you don't know him, he
probably just relieved himself into that bottle.

BIG virus coming

I checked with Norton Anti-Virus, and they are gearing up
for this virus!

I checked snopes.com, this morning, and it is for real!!

Get this E-mail message sent around to your contacts ASAP.

PLEASE FORWARD THIS WARNING AMONG FRIENDS, FAMILY
AND CONTACTS!
You should be alert during the next several weeks. Do not
open any message with an attachment entitled 'POSTCARD,'
regardless of who sent it to you.
It is a virus which opens A POSTCARD IMAGE, which 'burns'
the whole hard disc (C drive) of your computer. This virus
will be received from someone who has your e-mail address
in his/her contact list. This is the reason why you need to
send this e-mail to all your contacts. It is better to receive
this message 25 times than to receive the virus and open it.
If you receive a mail called' POSTCARD,' even though sent
to you by a friend, do not open it.! This includes all cards,
too. Shut down your computer immediately.

This is the worst virus announced by CNN. It has been
classified by Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever.
This virus was discovered by McAfee yesterday, and there
is no repair yet for this kind of virus. This virus simply
destroys the Zero Sector of the Hard Disc, where your vital
information is kept.

COPY THIS E-MAIL, AND SEND IT TO YOUR FRIENDS.
REMEMBER: IF YOU SEND IT TO THEM, YOU WILL BENEFIT
ALL OF US.

Yes... It's just this person's email filter that only allows messages from
approved addresses to pass. It looks like it reads the sender's address rather
than Quad-List address and then sends a message back to the original.

Problem with these IMO is your address gets stored on a 3rd party site/server
as a valid address. It can be used by hackers to harvest addresses vey
efficiently. I don't use them or add myself as approved sender.

Hi everyone.
I was on a huge doses of neurontin for 7 years and for a year on lyrica.
I think The Nerontin helped my pain more but it did destroy my teeth and
gums. I had pain in my teeth that showed no problem by x-ray. Shortly after
I
was having abscesses in 4 different areas and teeth. After rounds of
penicillin They tried to remove them and it was hell ! I had neuropathy
through
out my body and my mouth was the same---it would not be sedated.
The short of it, I went to surgery, went to sleep and
all were removed. They let me stay on a morphine pump for 3 days for pain.
I do not have the same relief as a majority of people do to medications. I
do not get to sleep, float or talk creatively.
I think I was cheated,, I would have loved to be loopy.

2008-05-17 Thread Stacy Harim
yea, i got it now.  Dana cleared it up.  Personally I don't trust it either.  I
get enough junk mail. I don't need more from other sites.  I just don't open
mail unless I know where it came from.  A majority of it is quad list on this
address because I have gotten so much junk on msn, I couldn't manage it anymore.
