FW: [QUAD-L] broken leg... AGAIN
I broke both legs in a van wreck a few years ago. The docs put me in fiberglass braces that were open on top but kept my legs straight and stable. They also gave me atrocious pressure sores on my heels, and both sides 0f the ankles and knees. They cut holes in the braces to relieve the pressure but it took nearly two years to heal the sores. Twas very bad. Beware hard casts...and good luck Date: Sat, 12 Jul 2008 17:22:25 -0400From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]: [EMAIL PROTECTED]: Re: [QUAD-L] broken leg... AGAINCC: [EMAIL PROTECTED] must concur John. I am not a doctor, but I have known a lot of SCI individuals who have broken their legs over the years and one thing is a constant, no hard cast. At least that's the case for the hospital here where there is overwhelming number of SCI patients. In fact, there are probably more than 60 SCI patients hospitalized at this very moment. I know there are at least 50.Quadius On 7/11/08, John S. [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Ok, a hard cast? [QUAD-L] Health Update
Hello my friend, Just a short note to let you know that I am currently in the hospital. I am having a problem with swelling to my Baclofen pump area. So far I have here to CAT scans and ultrasound and scheduled for an MRI. They still don't know what's causing the swelling. The one good thing that I am getting out of this, is that I am scheduled for some more physical and occupational therapy. Because I haven't been on the computer since Wednesday, the day I was admitted to the hospital, I have a ton of e-mail to read. I probably won't send much e-mail, but I will try to keep up with what's going on. Keep me in your prayers, Naomi C4-incomplete, quadriplegic since July 2005 due to Transverse Myelitis **Get the scoop on last night's hottest shows and the live music scene in your area - Check out TourTracker.com!
