[QUAD-L] Wii ing

2009-02-08 Thread airgantone
Hello all,

Any of you guys Wii ers?? I just bought one 2 days ago and it is extremely
fun.? It feels great to have that control again, although my arm is killing me
now.?? I'm only able to play tennis, which is my favorite, and boxing because I
can't press any buttons.? Does anyone know where one can modify the remote for
us quads?? Also are there other games that do not require pressing buttons or
limited button use?

I asked the same question a few months ago, unfortunately didn't get any
responses. I enjoy the tennis too, up to the pro level after a few weeks.
Can play baseball, but it's kind of boring. Tempted to buy Deca Sports or
Sega tennis, but not sure if you have to push the button to play.

I have the Deca Sports, I will check a little later and let you know about the
controls for it. I have around 80 games and don't remember how it works. I
have to do some cares for Toby and will check out the game later and let you
know.

RE: [QUAD-L] Bone Scan Testosterone

2009-02-08 Thread Greg
I'd say your lucky. I was lucky for 20 years with no meds at all, but then I
hurt my hip when the back of my chair broke and I fell backwards. A year
later I started to spasm very bad and having terrible thigh pains, even
dreaming about leg pains, waking up thinking I was being crushed or on fire.
From my hip injury, it started my hip to grow extra bone into the muscles.
It's called H.O. (Heterotopic ossification (HO) is the abnormal formation
of true bone within extraskeletal soft tissues.). I took meds to stop the
growing, but they are afraid to cut it out thinking it might make it grow
back even worse. So I'm on pain meds, calcium meds, testosterone meds.

[QUAD-L] pain

2009-02-08 Thread william Ray
I am a C 4 quadriplegic, nine years post.

I am experiencing severe pain in each of my hands which are at the extremity of
my sensitivity to touch.
I have had this problem for many years however, it is getting more severe.

I expect many of you have experienced the same condition. Have any of you
gotten any relief from medication?

I think I would be better off if both hands were amputated. I understand this
is extreme but I am desperate.
