Fwd: [QUAD-L] Hernuia?

2014-08-29 Thread Larry Willis
Greg, those are the classic symptoms of dysreflexia. If just touching it
triggers this you need to have it checked out ASAP. The dysreflexia could
be as dangerous as the original problem. Always stay sitting up when this
happens. Read up on dysreflexia and what to do. I'm sure others will
comment on this.

Anyone here ever get a hernia?
Not sure, but I might have one. The kind on your inner high thigh. In the
crotch area. I have a slight bump there and when touched it sends my blood
pressure way high. No sweating, but a pounding headache. Like 195/98. Once
it's bothering me, if I recline my head feels like it's going to blow up. 3
out of the last 5 days. Today is ok. Doc wants me to see a General Surgeon.
Have him take a look at it.
For along time just touching my crotch area made me spasm bad, my chest
gets real tight, but now I feel like my heart is getting squeezed by a fist
and my head is blowing up. The only time this has happened before is when
bowel or bladder had an issue. I just had the runs from antibiotics, so it
might be that, or constipation from too much Pepto. But it's been a week
now. Touching the area might be causing my stomach to spasm, I've been
having gas, and that could do it, but man those headaches hurt bad. If it
gets that bad again, I'm going to the ER, I just hate to go and then find
out it's just gas, runs or constipation.

[QUAD-L] Removed due to bouncing

2014-08-29 Thread Don Smith
Over the past several months I've been removed from the list due to bouncing.
It's always because list members submit or send from an aol address, which
eskimo.net has issues with. Is anyone else having the same problem?

2014-08-29 Thread Quadius
That's pretty much what I did also. Version 12 is definitely better than
the rest.
I do agree that waiting for a little while would probably be a little
better. I managed to get mine on sale for around 80 bucks for the middle of
the line version.

2014-08-29 Thread greg
Thanks, I new it was AD just could not figure out the cause.
It got bad last night, so I went to the ER. They gave me a CAT Scan.
2 people tried 5 times to give me an IV, even tried using ultrasound and couldn't get the needle in.My veins are hard to find. So my CAT Scan was without contrast injection.
They said it still showed very well. problem was it showed nothing. No hernia, no blockage, no appendix issues.
Just lots of stool, so it is probably gas and that. since the runs, nothing for 4 days.
I just hope they did not miss something.
Thanks all...

telling me it was nothing, we as quads have to be aware when things are not
