Last night, thanks to the tireless efforts of activists across
the country, the Senate sharply rebuked the President and voted
to renew the State Children's Health Insurance Program by a vote
of 68 to 31.
Over two-thirds of the Senate shrugged off repeated Presidential
threats and demonstrated that the health of America's children
is not a Republican or Democratic issue, but an issue that
unites the majority of the American people.
In large part, the decisive vote in the Senate was a direct
reaction to the outpouring of grassroots support for our kids'
health that has been felt in every Congressional office for
months.

express your appreciation for their vote on behalf of children

cover millions of children.
