There are "floaters" and there is "slime". The progression I've experienced
is:
- clear urine during the day with a few floaters in the tube in the morning
and evening with little to no odor, no "bladder area or lower back" pain
- yellow/darker urine with increased floating material throughout the day
and increased odor, slight irritating pain
- mostly dark urine with lots of thick 'mucous' looking material in the
tube and bag and obvious stinky odor, constant pain
For me, the second stage can be remedied by drinking only water for a week.
Usually about 64-80oz/day. If water gets boring, I also drink Green or
Black tea w/ honey.
The third stage typically requires a Dr visit. I know my standard
antibiotics that work for me and let them know.
IMO, after over 30 years at this, help yourself by making soda or other
sugary drinks a "treat" only after meeting a set goal of water each day.
It's ounces of prevention for days/weeks of pain.
