Eric, we tried intercom system, but my husband has sleep apnea and sleeps with a C pap machine which makes it very difficult for him to hear anything. We have reverted to using the cell phone. Dan, I wish my caregiver slept on the same floor as I! My bed is in the family room downstairs, and he sleeps upstairs in our bedroom. It makes for difficult communication. i sleep the best from 9p until about 12a. then i lie awake or drift until 6 or 7. i'm 'buzzed' nearly all the time. if i use any sleeping pills, i'm groggy most of the next day - so i prefer lying awake watching tv. thank goodness for DVR. I can't fall a sleep till 12:00 at night. I have to go to bed at 9:00pm. So I have a long night but I sleep till 8:00am when my help comes. I'm tried all the time. I get into bed 7:30-8:00pm and go to sleep around 11:30pm I'll watch TV, read or write. I wake up 8:00-9:00am then I have to waite till my aid, who is my husdand, to get up, we have breakfast than about a 45 min dress routine and I'm up in my chair between 11:00-12:30 I'm only up in the chair 8 to 10 hrs because with my scoliosis I have such bad back pain BUT if I stay in bed to long my back hurts too - hohum. ~ Bobbie **A Good Credit Score is 700 or Above. Dave I do the same thing. My care giver sleeps in the bed next to me, but i don't want to keep her up all night and I keep thinking I will fall asleep again.
