I use a Bardex I.C. Silver Coated Latex Foley Catheter. Its hard to say 
how much better they are, but i think they work better.

I believe Silver is supposed to have antibiotic properties. I use a
silicone catheter called Duette, they claim it is less susceptible to
infections.

I've never tried them.  In theory, it might help with uti's, but what does
the silver do to the lining of your bladder?
