Merrill,

Where do you and your companion go on your day trip? That sounds like a nice
little trip just to get out of the house. I have never used Craig list
before, but I will put it in my favorites and visit it at my leisure. Thank
you
for the suggestion, and I will see you on the Q. List.

Some people asked for money which is good if that was my intent. Some
people were receptive to joining me just to day trip for a change. I think
I was lucky.

I would have never thought of that idea of posting a request. What do they
charge to drive you. I basically rely on one friend to drive me.

A C4 must be tuff because my C5 is no walk in the park. Little to no
support here either and I often need to remember friendliness where I find
it. I will tell you though, if you can manage the extra care of having a
service dog, strangers will seldom leave you alone. Once in you can locate
meet-up groups on line in your area, people are glad to see us out there
even if I do have to pay a driver.

My latest bout with intense loneliness drove me to post a message on
WWW.craigslist.com http://www.craigslist.com/ seeking a plutonic
relationship for a driving companion for day trips. I was amazed at this as
I now have a friend from Palm Springs who now loves to drive down to San
Diego for a day drive with me. Some responses wanted money but this one
special response was worth putting myself out there.

I enjoy seeing your Q-List messages so I know you are pleasant being with.

Good Afternoon,

Many of you have asked my age, and how I manage.

I am now 51 years old. I spent my 48th birthday in the hospital. It is
very difficult to manage, because maybe not as many of you with TM may
experience it, but many quadriplegics have experience with lack or loss of
support from friends, family and community members. It is so hurtful and
disappointing when friends, and especially family does not help or support
you.

If not for the help and support of my mother and husband and my strong faith
in God, I would have surely lost my mind by now.

I truly appreciate the support of my online friends.
