Hi Paul, Mark, wheelchair and all:

Does anyone know about that new drug that they have been amortizing on TV

insurance? Two of my aides do smoke and I wondered if you could get it

Just wondering. Thank you for your information. Good luck to you all.

Hey Paul,
I was wondering how old you were for one. I've been smoking off and on since
my accident in 99. I'll quit for a few months or maybe weeks and go back and
I quit for a year and a half and one day had a few beers and a smoke and
that ended that.
Right now I'm still smoking and like you know how stupid it is and when
people ask why I don't have a good answer except I've tried and that's a bs
answer because I know I can quit I just have way too much spare time it seems
even
with a job.
I am getting ready to quit Again and I just hope I make it this time.
Smoking also causes a lot of pain but heck I'm used to pain!

If I die from cancer at least quadriplegia didn't kill me.

Some of the worst effects are decreased circulation in your extremities.
Nicotine and other agents cause narrowing of the blood vessels which causes
poor circulation. This can result in poor healing capabilities in the lower
legs should you get a pressure sore there. I smoked until 1989 and the docs
said that it may have been a contributing factor in having to have both legs
amputated in 2000.

I think I have a realistic view of tobacco...it's a curse for stealing the land from the indians.

P.S. there is an actual medicinal value to tobacco?

Well said Mark. And you wrote from personal experience. I too once smoked for alot of years. The reasons or excuses are really not important, but we've both learned our lessons.
And I sincerely hope... not to late either.
Tobacco is used in the farming industry and as medicine. Let's not forget many of the many by-products of tobacco. Let's keep thing in perspective.

When I'm driving, I've often smelt the smoke from the cars in front of me while we were sitting at a light. Whew. Now that part is still nasty, lol.

I smoked about 3 1/2 years after sci and it still wasn't easy to quit even though it helped give me pneumonia on several occasions.
It's terrible to smoke but it isn't easy to quit and I still have cravings to this day and just like an alcoholic I take it day by day.
