What are the latest 68K versions for:
Quark XPress?
Pagemaker?
I have version 6.01 and it runs on my Quadra 610 fine AFAIK

Claris/AppleWorks?
I have version 5.03 and it runs fine on my Quadra 610

Toast? (4.1.2??)
Open Transport? (I had to reinstall to the 8.1 system off my 8.0 CD, and
rather than searching for the 8.1 updater again, I was wondering if I
should use an even later version?)
no.

Most of the software company's web sites are no help, as if they're
trying to deny that any software before the latest version actually
existed. (Oh, by the way, does anyone know where I could find the
SuperPaint 3.5-3.5.1 updater that I've heard existed? Adobe, who bought
Aldus, has removed every single reference to SuperPaint from their site,
as far as I can tell. Grr.)

3.5 works fine for me, I didn't know that there was an updater to 3.5.1.
I would look on the FTP sites, If I find one on the FTP sites I will let you
know.

I understand that the last 68K versions of these are probably going to
be disk, RAM and processor hogs, so I'd be better off with older
versions, but I just want to know where the cutoff actually is.

Thanks.

I'm sure we can all pull together, sir.

I wanna say 5.x.

I think it was actually 7.x. I recall having a copy of 7.0.1 on my 7500 a few years

The one that shipped with 8.1.

1.3

1.3.1 Installer on the 8.1 update CD won't run, it requires a PPC.

2003-01-23 Thread Jamie Pruden
Hi Mark,

I happen to have a copy of both Illustrator 7.0 and 8.0 sitting right
here (I'm selling off my cache of older software on the Swap List...)

7.0 runs on an 030 or newer, System 7.5 or later.
8.0 requires a PPC, System 7.5 or later.

smiles,
Jamie
