I don't really have an old 386/486 handy to compare. I *think* that the 4 mgs I have were pulled from a pc. I ran them in a Performa 600 and they seemed to work. What you have to watch for in the Quadra 700 is the physical height of the sticks, If they are too tall they will interfere with the floppy drive. -- All the best, R.A. Re: Memory for Quadra 700
I just received today my order for 4 x 16MB 30 pin RAM from MemoryX. On Friday I filled out the web form with my Credit Card and on Monday the memory was delivered to my office in NEW ZEALAND. I installed my new RAM in my IIvx to test it and worked great. I will be buying more for my Seven SE/30s Quadra 950 and Quadra 700. These are new SIMMS and are the normal height. Only $14.60 US dollars per stick. My IIvx reported 133MB or RAM with RAM Doubler. This is a dream come true. Link is below http://store.yahoo.com/memx/apl30p16.html I was just looking at the picture; that stick looks a /little/ too big. Are you sure it would fit in the 700? -- Quadlist is sponsored by http://lowendmac.com/ and... Re: Memory for Quadra 700
Picture does not match the product. There are eight chips mounted vertically and it is a normal height 30 pin SIMM. I just got hold of my Quadra 700, took out the HDD and power supply. How the heck do you get the HDD and Floppy mounting block out? I found the screw.. I am sure that the RAM will fit. It does!!! on 26/03/2002 05:37 AM, Haroon Al-Qahtani at [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: These are new SIMMS and are the normal height. Only $14.60 US dollars per stick.
