You are going to have enough battery power for heated seats too? I can see
clearing the windscreen an essential, but I would have thought the heating in
the seats would use a fair bit of juice.I guess if you have them in you don't
have to use them if you do find them too much of a drain. Guess it depends on
the range you are trying to get.Sorry no help for what seat to get!

My conversion of a 2+2 with Mk4 dash is well underway now with the help of the
kids at my school!  Everything has been stripped back, modified subframe for
electric motor/batteries has been galvanised, all suspension components
sandblasted and repainted and about to start putting it all back together after
bodyshell painted. I will be fitting electric GM power steering, using petrol
tank space for suspended space saver spare wheel, ceramic heater in place of
heater exchanger from engine, and the batteries will be divided between the
space behind the back seat as well as above gearbox/motor.  I write here to ask
members for ideas/experience for how to soup it up to be the ultimate electric
2+2.  Ideas and help on the following as well as things I haven't thought of
would be appreciated:
   - I'd like heated front seats (as no warm engine!). Any ideas on heated
production/sporty seats that fit nicely in the 2+2 or will I have to retrofit
heater elements in XR2 seats? Or even heated electric adjustment seats?

   - Has anyone found easy way to do electric boot release or is it just a case
of engineering/fitting a solenoid?
   - Can brake servo be fitted directly to back of brake pedal box as there is
space now with no engine (the angles on the bar are not quite identical hence
the question).
   - Has anyone got advice or quality bits for sale that can help me build the
ultimate fully electric 2+2?

Re: [Quantum Owners] Re: 2+2 XR2 Brake Master Cylinder & Servo...HELP!

2016-02-01 Thread Dave English
Hi Hans

Found the seal kit on E-Bay. I'm not even sure it's the right one but the
bits in the photo looked similar to the drawings in the Haynes manual so I
decided to give it a go. I can't see a white plastic part in the picture
but the part number for the kit is: SP7760. (I assume that's the Lucas part
number.)
Hopefully the picture I have will be here.

Regards
Dave English
