[Quantum Owners] Re: OBD Port

2017-10-16 Thread 'Jim Turner' via Quantum Owners Group
Thanks Jim. It suddenly started doing it, but the CVH has never been the
smoothest of engines. It gets better as the engine warms up, but the idle
revs have always been too fast ( approx. 1200 rpm) when warm

Re: [Quantum Owners] OBD Port

There other one is the diagnostic port, it’s not OBD in the standard sense,
it’s specific to Ford.

Fault code readers do exist that will display the codes, they read a much
faster version of the same pulses that comes before the slow pulses.
I have one, i will try and remember to check the make/model.

Has it always done it, slowly got worse or suddenly started doing it ?
Is the mixture ok when it’s warm ?

Subject: [Quantum Owners] OBD Port

Hi All
Can anyone tell me which is the correct OBD port on a 1600 CVH EFi loom. There
appears to be two, one black & one white, both with red caps.
Also does anyone know of an interface or programme to give a readout on a
computer instead of the Gunson reader which relies on counting flashes on a LED
(which I have)
My H4i is misfiring between 2500 & 3500 rpm when cold, with sooty plugs. Any
suggestions welcome.
Regards
Jimt
