[Quantum Owners] Re: Mk2 Fiesta heater matrix needed.
Hi Jim. This is a current one like the one I bought off E-bay (from this seller) in 2017 for my XR2 based 2+2. E-Bay number 113296129463. They do seem to vary a bit across the range of Fiestas so best to check the fitment or part number. It's aluminium with plastic end caps. My knackered one wasn't as bad as yours, but it turned my demister into a re-mister! Good one Bill, You must be one clean living and driving individual! What mileage? Is that commuting to work as well? Seems that there are a lot of reason for different prices…. I had not seen the laid up to road combo before. Re: [Quantum Owners] Insurance
I’ve been using 2-gether insurance for several years for both my kit cars, never paid more than £125 fully comp, are they any good? After my no fault accident I was paid out in less than five weeks, good enough for me. [Quantum Owners] Insurance
Hi All, Someone might be interested, hope it helps. Just re-insured the 2+2. In the end Adrian Flux did a hybrid insurance for me as I am just about to SORN the car for winter overhaul. So it was a Laid Up policy of £70 for the year and simply call them when I want to go back on road and pay the pro - rata of a pre agreed road policy price. i.e. just right to get it MOT’ed and sorted again next year. Interesting that I had to describe the (I would have thought - fairly normal) situation and the helpful adviser when looking and found one. Footman James was £85 laid up or full bells and whistles of £280. Did not seem to want to offer anything else. [Quantum Owners] Mk2 Fiesta heater matrix needed.
Having discovered the footwells of my saloon with 1/2" of water in each one yesterday i need a new heater matrix. Luckily there was no trim fitted, just a lot of tools and parts sitting in the water. I don't suppose anybody has a new genuine Ford one they want to sell ? Or knows of a good pattern part, Aluminium with plastic end caps. Most of the pattern parts are made from copper and brass but they don't give off as much heat as the genuine Ford parts. I guess the corrosion inhibitor in the Antifreeze (orange stuff) is no longer working after sitting in the system for 10+ years. I know it has a life but didn't really think that would apply if the car wasn't being used, it's only done 1 trip to Donnington, that's it. Many thanks, Jim -- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Quantum Owners Group" group.
