Geoff,

Sorry about not replying earlier - for some reason I'm not getting new
posts marked in the forum every time.

Today sometime would be great; it's in the garage. Afternoon probably
best; I think Anita has some plans this morning, but give me a call?

Geoff, I'll post next time I'm going over. Currently on Skye, will be
back in Hemel tomorrow night, but a busy week so I think next week
more likely.

Derek, not looking for a lot - make me an offer! I'd stick a photo on,
but I'll have to ask my mate Joe to do that. They're not perfect
(they've been on the car twelve years!) but I don't recall any major
dents or scrapes, and they're good tyres all round.

Re: [Quantum Owners] Re: Bits left over from the 20vt engine transplant

2011-02-11 Thread geoff ward
Hi Neil,

No rush, just let me know when and I can arrange to meet you some where.

Skye, what a beautiful part of the world, we visited on our QOC Haggis Hunt
Tour in 2009!

Regards, Geoff.

Hell, I drive up the A41 when I go to Hereford where the car is... can
drop it off for you on the way back next time I go past.

Might be a couple of weeks; a family death means I have to collect my
parents from Skye sometime this week, plus a job interview in London
and another in Loughborough *also* this week...

  Hi Neil,

Thats great if you do, any chance you could get it to Hemel? We live the
other side of Aylesbury and can arrange collection from Hemel.
  Thanks.

  Regards, Geoff.

Yep, that's still on the brake bar, I think.

Hi Neil,

I just wondered if you happen to have a brake servo,in good
 condition,
   lying
around? The wife's 2+2 could certainly make use of one if you do.

Regards, Geoff.

I have a few Ford bits which have been replaced by Fiat parts on my
2+2 - if they're of use to anyone please let me know and we can
arrange something. At present they're in Hereford, but could come
 to
Hemel if that's beneficial. The original engine (long gone) was an
 XR2
so I *assume* that the remaining parts are from the same vehicle.

 - radiator and fan
 - steering rack (though without the track rods or track rod ends)
 - brake master cylinder and transfer bar
 - steering column
 - there must be some brake and clutch pedals around there
 somewhere,
 too...

There is also a loom, but it's (a) chopped fairly randomly and (b)
 was
rubbish before I started - but might have some useful connectors on
it. That will be the last to go as I may need some connectors
 myself
 first. There's a fusebox, though.

Finally, I have two sets of wheels, which I'll probably stick on
 eBay:
one set of gold TWR spoked wheels with good Yokohamas - 185/65R13,
ET38 - which will go straight onto any Fiesta MK2 hubs, and one set
 of
Focus 15 (ET55), the best that can be said about the tyres is that
they're black and round. I wouldn't drive on them. The Focus wheels
look good on the 2+2 but need 15mm spacers to get them back in the
 right place.

If no-one wants these bits, they're on the scrap heap.

 Neil
