Re: [qubes-users] Re: HCL DELL PRECISION M4800

Yes.

Both UEFI and Legacy.

I set BIOS to Legacy and try to re-install. I get:

IOMMU/VT-d/ADM-Vi, Interrupt Remapping

 i7-4710MQ CPU

This is a i7 24Mb laptop I bought just for Quebes. I am going to have to
sell this laptop or give up on Quebes. :/

I don't know what else I can do. ???

Yes, UEFI. Once you move the SSD to the destination PC, boot in rescue
boot or from a Livecd and create a Qubes boot entry with efibootmgr.

Actually, I found that for some reason as a block device it shows up
under "Other Locations" in the nautilus sidebar. Once I navigate there
all is cake. Sorry for the noise.

If you ever need a USB drive for more than one qube, you might be
interested in qcrypt [1].

That's an old issue, and the link relates to old material.
The link that will help is https://www.qubes-os.org/doc/copy-from-dom0/

[qubes-users] Qubes issue 953 "qvm-screenshot-tool"

2020-08-29 Thread alm via qubes-users
Hi. I need help in regards to issue 953.

https://github.com/QubesOS/qubes-issues/issues/953

The link in the text description:
"The ability send dom0 screenshots directly to an AppVM/DispVM from the
screenshot app is an oft-requested feature (see below). The ability to
transfer saved screenshot files from dom0 to other VMs is already
available, but it is neither obvious nor easy for most users to do this."

is:
"already available"

and leads to:
https://github.com/QubesOS/qubes-issues/issues/CopyToDomZero

which when opened:
"No results matched your search. You could search all of GitHub or try an
advanced search."

Does anybody have a working link? Thanks in advance!
