[qubes-users] Can someone help me---again?
Someone helped me install Qubes a couple of years ago. I just started learning it when I was interrupted--for 2 years. Now dom0 is reporting update expired 455 days ago. Do I need to reinstall Qubes to do updates etc.? bob -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "qubes-users" group. [qubes-users] HCL - Asus G750JM
Almost everything seems to be functioning properly. Only issues I am having at this time are with the built in Broadcom 802.11AC card and a couple keyboard shortcuts(keyboard backlight brightness and trackpad lock). Overall running very well and my usb WiFi card (TP-Link TL-WN722N Version 1.9) works perfectly. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "qubes-users" group. [qubes-users] Screen brightness
Is there any way to turn down screen brightness, either via terminal or system settings? The closest thing I can find is System Tools -- Power Manager --Display. That gives options regarding adjusting brightness after inactivity, but I am wondering if it's possible to set the default brightness? [qubes-users] How to delete a windows VM
I was following the directions on this page: https://www.qubes-os.org/doc/hvm/ I was installing windows. Unfortunately, somehow the computer entered sleep mode and when it resumed it would not install. I couldn't find the command to delete the VM. I would recommend adding the command to the windows directions. Previously, I tried clicking the box (unchecking the option to install grub) and it failed miserably (same problem as before). Now I just need to import my other grub lines and I'll be in good shape. I do recommend changing the install program to allow installing to a partition, or else make a way to reinstall grub (this last part might already be possible from Dom0). -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "qubes-users" group. Maybe that wiped out some Xen stuff that was in Qubes' grub setting. Is there a way to write Qubes' grub to a partition instead of the MBR? One of my biggest beefs with Anaconda is that it just overwrites your MBR and doesn't ask you where you want it. [qubes-users] Qubes 3.1 and 3.2 beta both fail in post-install configuration
Hello, I tried installing both Qubes 3.1 and Qubes 3.2 on my Lenovo T420S. Both exhibit the same problem, during the first-boot setup, after clicking ok from the checkboxes (I didn't change the defaults), there is an extremely lengthy error message generated. I think all of it was captured in the messages I read with journalctl. The bottom line is my VMs weren't generated. If I try to create a debian or fedora VM from the Q menu nothing happens.
