For multimedia, I use the Qubes Debian Multimedia qube:

It uses google chrome, which by default, comes with all codecs and multimedia 
stuff installed.  I use it for youtube mainly, but any multimedia site should 
work fine with it.

I'm guessing you might want to try a less secure, and hence easier to 
use  linux distro



While you can get a lot of multimedia working, there is a trade off for 
security by isolation


maybe you might want to try this  with maybe  Fedora-30
