I'd write "PK/PD" though. Or did the world change while I was looking the other
way?

As others have said, you just need to give a note explaining that it is
a false positive. But please do give the full version once in the
Description: it won't only be PKPD experts who read about your package.
(You could give it in the title, but that is likely to make your title
too long.)

It seems that none of these are recognized as words that

are spelled correctly. They are kind of important in the context of the
package and there are no other better or more accurate descriptors that I
can use.

Is there a way to get around this?

Re: [R-pkg-devel] replacing previous import

2019-08-20 Thread Duncan Murdoch

Howdy Folks,

I'm getting the following warning:

Found the following significant warnings:
Warning: replacing previous import ‘gdata::combine’ by
‘gridExtra::combine’ when loading

In the R scripts I'm using
#'@importFrom gridExtra grid.arrange

To only import the function I want, but I'm not sure how to do that in the
DESCRIPTION file. Is there anything I can do to eliminate this warning or
is this OK?

You need to look at your NAMESPACE file, not the DESCRIPTION file. It's
likely that Roxygen has included both imports of combine in that file,
and that *is* a problem: only one will be valid. (You can't have two
objects with the same name, but you can import one of them using a
different name.)

If you can't spot the problem, please post either the NAMESPACE file, or
even better, a location of the whole package so we can take a look.

Re: [R-pkg-devel] Misspelled words in DESCRIPTION

2019-08-20 Thread Helmut Schütz

Hi John,

we had the same issue with abbreviations BA (bioavailability), BE
(bioequivalence), and NTID (narrow therapeutic index drug) in our
packages (PowerTOST, replicateBE).

Don’t worry. This note will appear only if you submit the package for the
first time to CRAN.
