 I am plotting raster object (tasc) with 4 seasons: (DJF,MAM, JJA,

 add (overlay) the country polygons (afrc) on top of these 4 plots of
 levelplot. Levelplot function works quite ok but when I call this plot
 (p) and plot with layer(sp.polygons(afr)), I get this error:

Hello,

Both ggplot2 and latticeExtra define a layer function. You have to
call library(latticeExtra) *after* library(ggplot2) to use the
latticeExtra::layer mechanism instead of ggplot2::layer.

Best.

Dear Oscar

Great! Many thanks, your answer helped resolve my problem. Actually I
didnt realise that ggplot was contributing to my problem.

I just did not attach ggplot2 library, that was it. No error.

Best regards

Byman
