(RADIATOR) Rodopi and Radiator
Title: Blank Hi, Can I use Radiator and Rodopi together to implement a dialup system with prepaid function? Can I call a stored procedure from MS SQL from Radiator (on linux)? If so, I thinh I can call interface_vircomusers and interface_vircomdetail (just make something change). But currently I'm testing on Vircom radius on NT (Just test because NT can't be a Server it died every day!). My problem now is :when I created Prepaid card using Preapaid Usage Info and Online Hour typewhen I run interface_vircomusers 'Username' the first time the result returned : sessionTime out=0 or 0 and message is divide by 0. I can't use this user to dial up. When I create prepaid user using Usage Info I can use this user to dial up but when I disconnect I run interface_vircomusers 'Username' again I can see the same amount ot time before I dial up. This mean that no money is deducted from this account. Althought I can see the accounting record on table OnlineUsageHours. Could you give me some advise? Using MS-SQL and radiator for dialup system is a good or bad solution? I wonder if NT server where MS-SQL died so User can't login. Is there any solution? I ask Support at Rodopi this question (my problem about Rodopi) many times but I haven't receive any answer. They just said I should by a support. But I can't spend my Money to buy their support. My boss tell me to research and report to him. If I'm not able to finish this job may be I'll be sacked. I hope to hear from you soon. ---Thao Le VanSoftware Engineer Extramedia Viet Nam Tel: +84 8 825 8310 ext.2127Fax: +84 8 825 8311Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Business Origination: http://www.extramedia.com/ This message contains information that maybe confidential and privileged. (RADIATOR) What is this? A bug, a DOS attack?
Hi, Something strange happened with my Radiator Servers. The servers freezed, ignoring all the requests that were made by the NAS. Although, the process of Radiator was alive and taking the usual resources from the server. When I checked the log messages in SQL, I saw this strange message (where XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX is the NAS IP address and YYY the port): Deleting session for ÁYZp}+µÀÛþpZ_S^ØG*Õ_ÉøgÑ_´BQý´¬?4y,Ãh´MptÏã.h__`ù_OE»*ôvlþ+l¾Ù_]_"à×£^-"" T²...H_¶V_(Æ-DÅoeëÆ{_Ý ö:°_ DGÕe¸ôÄû»z÷#_ú :, XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX, YYY I use Radiator-2.16.3 with authentication in LDAP and loging is MYSQL What is this? Re: (RADIATOR) packet dumps: how to analyze them?
Hey guys, Thanks very much for the feedback! Dave :) ___ Have a copy of the rfc alongside the packet dump and check the attribute definitions to do the translation. Otherwise, use something like this: http://www.starport.net/~radiator/200011/msg00050.html regards Hugh === Archive at http://www.starport.net/~radiator/ Announcements on [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe, email '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' with 'unsubscribe radiator' in the body of the message.
RE: (RADIATOR) What is this? A bug, a DOS attack?
I believe it's a BUG. Please see my post from last week: "Radiator/LDAP hangs on binary username!" to which no one has replied yet, where I described a similar experience. Again, AuthBy CDB never misbehaved with these binary usernames, but AuthBy LDAP2 will hang Radiator completely. It's pretty easy to reproduce: telnet to your NAS IP, and when it asks for username or login, enter something like: ÀÛþpZ_S^ØG*Õ_ÉøgÑ_´BQý´¬?4y,Ãh´MptÏã.h__`ù_OE»*ôv Bingo. Radiator is trashed. What's worse is that if you have multiple Radiator/LDAP servers for redundancy, the NAS will retry until it brings down ALL the servers :( At the moment, we're testing: RewriteUsername tr#!-'/+-~/##cd which should strip out all non-printable characters (and a few others), which seems to patch the bug so far. But the whole issue makes me pretty nervous. (RADIATOR) CHAP, HOWTO
This is probably documented somewhere but I am drawing a blank. I authenticate using an SQL database where all the passwords are stored in plaintext. Is it possible to accept CHAP authentication? If so, how? (RADIATOR) Problem with accounting in radiator
Hi We are using Platypus version 3.0 Build 570-ur on Windows NT 4.0 SP6, linked to Radiator running on NT 4, with Platypus in Emerald mode. We have 6 Max boxes authenticating and accounting on this system, however one of the max boxes won't log any accounting records, but it will authenticate perfectly. I have verified that it is sending them as I set up a Linux Radius server and it would successfully send accounting records to the linux server (ie start/stop records). Obviously we need it to work on the NT system as that is where Platypus is.. All the other max boxes work perfectly. If anyone knows where to start to look for a solution, it would be appreciated. RE: (RADIATOR) CHAP, HOWTO
AFAIK you configure your NAS to use CHAP, then Radiator will understand what to do when the CHAP-Password etc comes. /Ingvar -Original Message- From: Camil Samaha [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: den 30 november 2000 23:53 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: (RADIATOR) CHAP, HOWTO This is probably documented somewhere but I am drawing a blank.
