The WiFiAnalyzer on Android is very suitable. It has a nice channel
graph. I haven't tried it on the iPhone. The Access Points tab displays
sometimes the manufacturer and always the Ethernet address, which
identifies the manufacturer and model. It would be great if it
identified mesh and WiFi6 signals, mine doesn't (old phone).

Moving to another location is a lot of work. You have to scout out a
location, take your LMS machine and router, get power and an internet
connection, and be prepared to hang around for a while. While some
radios suffer 10-15 interruptions per hour, others are just a few per
day. Anyway, I think we have more or less determined that it is the
radio's chip firmware limitation causing the problem, and not the radio
deteriorating.

By the way, another user's suggestion to shield the radio with aluminum
foil, along with a strong signal from a nearby access point, is now
making more sense to me. By drastically reducing all the signals into
the radio, the offending signals may not cause problems because they are
too weak to be picked up by the periodic scan. The strong desired signal
becomes weaker, but this is not usually a problem for the radio. This
foil can be tried on the outside. If it works, it is a simple matter to
open the case and attach it to the inside for fixed location use. Some
experimentation may be in order.
