The 9 is the number of player parameters that can be set from a single action: Power, Favorite, Loop, Player Volume, Preset, Repeat Mode, Shuffle Mode, Shuffle Play and Track. There's no limit on how many actions you stack or on how many favorites you address. You can have any trigger (time, motion, contact, light-level, voice, button, whatever) set 100 squeezeboxes to all play different favorites at different volume levels and shuffle states and repeat modes, if you like  See the very first post in https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?111443-Announce-LMS-lite-certified-Smart-Home-skill-for-Alexa philchillbill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68920 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114149 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

In the Alexa app, choose Routines --> New --> When this Happens --> Schedule --> At Time --> Add Action --> Smart Home --> All Devices --> and then select the squeezebox. When you've done that, you'll see 9 options of which 2 will select a favorite name and a volume level, for example. philchillbill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68920 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114149 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

For sure its easier if you have the skill anyway to just use your voice instead of a GUI. Yes. The Show will appear among your LMS players as axios from Alexa. When you change the playlist using Firefox, to overcome the buffer in the Show delaying the new command from executing, just say Alexa, resume and the audio will change immediately as that clears the buffer. philchillbill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68920 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113419 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

If you say Alexa, show Firefox the browser returns and if you have pinned Material to the Echo bookmarks, you can reopen. Im gonna have a try at adding support for APL to my skill as it has an OpenUrl feature that would (maybe) allow me to auto launch Material when you stream from MediaServer. After all, the skill does know the LAN IP address of your LMS. philchillbill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68920 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113419 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Squeezebox Radio possible replacement?
Not quite as cheap at $150, but I have an Amazon Echo Show 2 and it sounds really good when streaming from LMS. The 10.1 touchscreen is like having an iPad in permanent landscape mode. It also doubles as a regular Alexa so all told I think its worth the dough. It produces a surprising amount of bass and the stereo image is wider than youd expect.
