Not sure, however, that you could extend the tape/twine forward enough

That was a great ride we did last year. Ojai is perfectly located for
a lunch stop. The return from Lake Casitas is mostly downhill so the
end of the ride is relaxing. This is one of the most accessible,
mixed surface rides in the area, with no difficult navigation. My
Atlantis was shod with 35 mm Marathon Supremes. The unpaved portions
are well maintained jeep trails. I recall we saw a mini-van along the

Thanks for the replies and education, quite helpful.  Minh, here are
some pictures I took midway through the ride - - showing the
beginnings of a good dip in the saddle.  The sag was 100% deeper by
 the end of the ride:

 http://www.flickr.com/photos/41563482@N06/sets/72157626675219389/

and, here's a pic of the Roadeo, with the same model SA, on the same
ride, at the same spot, and you can see how level the saddle surface
 looks:

 http://www.flickr.com/photos/41563482@N06/5382388796/in/set-72157625765337223/

So, after reading the collective responses to my initial post, I rode,
tightened the saddle, rode some more, tightened some more, until it
felt and looked right.   It is amazing how much the thing had sagged.
Apparently, they come from the factory without much tension.  I
probably cranked three to four full turns on the adjustment bolt, and
now it's almost fully level, and pretty comfortable.  I am a long-time
user of Brooks saddles, and for now I'm still of the opinion that the
SA is more comfortable (for my idiosyncratic dimensions). I am as
suprised as Jim that I have not tightened the one on the Roadeo.

We have a 7 to 8 hour ride planned for Memorial Day, so I'll have more
 data thereafter.

There may also be a wicking action from any cloth not made thoroughly

Damn, every time I get on a Brooks-type saddle, I regret that I can't
get comfortable on them, particularly the B17 and copies; even the Pro

hotrodded Electra Ticino fixie, but I was sitting bolt upright on

one comfortable Brooks.

Hey so, I have an 89cm pbh. i am six feet tall. i have a 63 cm
homer, a 61 atlantis and a 60 cm bombadil. if i were to choose a
hunquapillar i would get a 58, to account for the larger tires and
such ( the same reason i have a 61 atlantis. I can lift all of my
bikes about 1-1.5 inches off the ground, but i seldom do this cause in
the real world i rarely if ever need to do this. anyhow i was just at
RIV last week and test rode some bikes, and did in fact ride the 62 cm
hunq. i didn't lift it up, and the top tube was up there but i was
able to straddle it with flat feet, and the ride was fantastic, it
felt great. the have that whole crotch worrier scenario on there site
if it doesn't worry you then go for the 62. i live in nyc and love
having the bomba with the huge tires, it may not seem necessary , but
the ride is awesome, and i find myself choosing the fat tires for city
riding most of the time.

This bike made it through the Harding Bike Sale.  We had a few who
wanted it but were not tall enough for it.  Let me know if you are
tall enough for a 69cm lugged steel frame.  $80 is still the price,
which goes to the Harding Elementary School PTA.

first annual bike sale.  We took donation bikes from the community,
fixed up the bikes and are now selling them back to the community.  I
wanted to broadcast to the group three items:

   1.  If you have a bike you want to get rid of, don't want to sell it,
and live in the bay area, let me know, and I'll take your donation and
give you a tax deduction receipt
   2.  If you need a cheap 16 wheel bike for a kid in your life, let me
know.  We got a lot of those.
   3.  If you are SUPER tall and want abeater, we got a 27 frame Fuji
Valite that might be hard to sell this weekend.  Seriously, its a 69cm
frame size, 27 inches.  The derailers were both toast, so I set it up
with straight bars and a Quickbeam like double.  There are two gears
that work with the horizontal dropouts: a small ring--big cog climbing
gear and a big ring--small cog cruising gear.  We'll probably hang a
$80 price tag on it.  Let me know if you want a super tallbeater.  It
is totally ready to set up as a geared bike again.  If it was my size
I'd use it to build a retro-direct like in the Riv video.

Hah! I was thinking about it...i'm 6'3 with long legs...but that
standover equals my PBH, which i remember being rather painful to
measure. No way!

7'0 might be too tall.  I was thinking somebody 6'6 to 6'9.  The

My brother in law might be interested. He is 7'0. Think he might be
tall enough, or will the bike be too small for him?
