[RBW] Riv GrabSack - did they ever come in black?
It’s time to get a new purse. The tan grabsack has been great, and it takes a Biketinker Union patch like it was made for it, but it’s become a little grubby for the corporate circles I now move in. The back is covered with tiny spots of oil paint, and there’s a general air of “down at heels” about it. I’m about to replace / augment the tan one with a blue one, but a black grab sack would look amazing with one of my/Joe’s Unicorn Wings Gorilla Parts patches on it. IMO. So. Were there black grab sacks? Will there be black grab sacks in the (near) future? Does anyone have one to sell? Re: [RBW] Re: Got a SP hub! Works good.
I'd guess that yours is within tolerances, though I don't recall ever seeing my Lumotec flicker while climbing back when I had a Ram with SP. Perhaps I'm just a fast climber. (Joke, amusement, for the purpose of.) My SON 20 R (Edeluxe I, 24 3/4" wheels) flickers at walking speed but becomes steady at a slow jog; but then it is built into a 559 wheel, which spins faster. My SP flickers until about 5-6 mph, to the best of my estimation, with the K Lite on Low; when on High, the light doesn't even begin to show until you are going 10-12 mph, unless you've charged the capacitor. 29 1/2" wheels The Biologic on the 20"-wheel Dahon (Lumotec IQ) flickers until about 5-6 mph, but the same light shone steadily at 2 mph with the former Sanyo bb generator. And the various sidewall generators I've used with LED headlights always powered up very quickly, tho' of course with incandescents it was different (except fo the 12 volt bottle + halogen system I owned). Does yours flicker at regular riding speeds, or just when below a certain minimum speed? [RBW] Allways pedals, Rene Herse crank, Roadeo
I put MKS Allways pedals on my new Roadeo, and I’m liking them better than either the Thin Gripsters or the Grip Kings. Also really liking the look and function of the 44/28 Rene Herse crankset. And of course the whole bike is a marvel to ride. https://photos.app.goo.gl/2a3Uh5zfrCQWWVue7 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group. [RBW] Tapping DT cable stops
My Legolas has DT cable stops instead of bosses like most steel frames. Weight savings I guess? Anyway I’d really like some barrel adjusters to dial in shifting, and I don’t like the inline stuff. So I’m thinking of threading the stops with an M5 tap. Anyone done this? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group. [RBW] FS/FT XL Musa pants.
Bought these off eBay but they are too big. Selling for 45.00 shipped in the continental US or trade for a large. Olive and blue. Re: [RBW] Re: Taking Clem to a different level
Love it! Dirt drop setup is great if you can get the right height and the reach works. I have OG WTB Dirt Drops on my BMC right now. [RBW] Re: One month VO Touring rear hub review.
Yes, but don't forget, baseball cards used in Rivendell bicycles should predate the 1980s. 1970s Oakland A's are preferable. (Honus Wagner cards would be the ultimate of course). -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group. Re: [RBW] Got a SP hub! Works good.
I run an I-XQ and Son Deluxe Wide Body on my daily ride here in NYC. Considering how many riders use blinking lights in my town the second or two of flicker at spin up almost makes me feel like one of the regulars! And I say spin up because it never flickers at normal rolling speed, which, often isn't all that fast as I thread my way through traffic and bike path congestion, etc it flickers a little at walking speed too, but that's not an issue for me either.
