[RBW] FS: Rockgeist 1/2 Frame Bag

2020-02-17 Thread Collin A
Heyo,

I'm in the middle of switching around my camping and commuting setup on my
clem and decided to forgo my custom 1/2 framebag in the process. It will
perfectly fit a 52 Clem H and provide plenty of room for bottles
underneath. There is also enough Velcro to allow for usage on other long
top-tube bikes

Features include:

   - A bit of dust from the sierras (I can clean it before I ship it)
   - Non-driveside map pocket for phone, stickers, irish straps, maps, etc.
   - Lace-up top to keep it looking clean
   - Dynamo/hydration port on the front and rear of the bag to allow for a
cleaner setup if you are running rear dyno lights
   - Velcro loops on the inside top to store a pump or tent poles
   - Structured bottom to help prevent droopy bag syndrome
   - A Crust Patch that is always a good conversation piece

I'm looking for about $80 plus actual shipping (maybe $10?). This thing new
would be about $180

See pictures here:
https://photos.app.goo.gl/W5XjU4VPwu1cg94G8

Cheers,
Collin in Sacramento

[RBW] Re: Custom, not a custom

2020-02-17 Thread masmojo
I recently bought a titanium Crust. Matt @ Crust has a steady stream of one off
frames and completes that he regularly lists.
This is a good strategy, because you can try different things, things that you
may not want to commit to long term and see how they work. Also your frame
builder can fill downtime and maybe experiment a little himself.
My Crust was on of a couple one off titanium frames Crust had built last year;
a bike I wouldn't have even thought was possible & more $$$s in their pocket.

Gotcha, Craig. Bouncy I could not abide. One suggestion for those still
trying to dial supple tires in: start with your regular pressure for the
same size tire (or some other version of likely a bit more than needed),
let time deflate it slowly until you feel it too low, check the pressure,
add 5 psi.

With abandon,
Patrick
