[RBW] Re: The scariest Rivendell - Halloween Special - Pumpkin QuickBeam and Carbon

2021-10-31 Thread Max S
Punted out ~40 pretty bumpy miles on this purgatory pumpkin at a prompt
pace on this pair of punchy hoops. Quite a few segment PRs set, probably
from attempting to avoid the utter embarrassment of riding too slowly with
such deep rims.
It was a good fun Halloween bike dress-up project. Not sure what I'll do
with them now. Maybe I can build up another non-sequitur of a bike, like a
murdered-out Ebisu with SRAM brifters. 

Seeing the riders and their bikes would be great, pictures of

impressed by the receptive crowds and embrace of fellow exhibitors so far
 from home last time.

I know this year has been hard on many folks at all levels in the bike
business and this was such a good event two years ago, I hope its
restorative vibes are rewarding to all. There was a much more palpable
sense of kinship among cyclists there than I ever noticed or felt at

Sad to miss out this year and will be checking out everyones''

They do have one very big defect: they can cost $96 apiece, tho' the budget
Standard casing costs $74. Still, as someone who has used 2 models of RH

[RBW] Re: Looking for black long pull Paul levers

2021-10-31 Thread Vince B
I have a left one only that I’d be willing to sell you at a discount. It’s
brand new and never been installed.

[RBW] Re: Feeler: Trade 58cm(ct) Riv All Rounder(or 61cm Toyo Atlantis) for 58cm Toyo Atlantis

2021-10-31 Thread iamkeith

Since you have a 61cm Atlantis too, you probably know this: Assuming the
AR has 26" wheels, remember that you'll have pretty drastic
toe-clip-overlap on the 58cm atlantis that you don't have on the 58cm AR.
That might not be a big deal for how you plan to ride it, but it would be a
shame to see you realize and regret it after it's too late to turn back.
