[RBW] FS: Brooks C17 Cambium in "Black"

2023-11-07 Thread Ed Carolipio

This saddle is from the first generation of C17s of several years ago but
has spent most of that time in the parts bin. Some of those first C17s had
issues with excessive wear and color fading, though I don't think I've used
this one long enough for any of that to show. There is some "stuff"
underneath the saddle but that seems to be the surface treatment and not
structural.

$70 with tracked shipping in CONUS from 90278 included. Transaction will be
via Paypal G (I'll cover the fees).

Please contact off-list with questions or if interested.

Thanks,

Ed C.

Re: [RBW] Re: Bike Rack

2023-11-07 Thread Sally Bidleman
Hi Omar and Chester,

Thanks so much for further info! I like that wheel stop thingy... very
useful I bet. And that quikrstuff rack video was interesting; I especially
liked how you can just fold the rack up and stuff it in the back of a small
SUV. I can see why there's a 2-month wait on those.

We're going to the local shop Saturday to preview the Kuat and any others
they have...probably too impatient to wait another couple months.

I'd really like to head up the coast and ride the 17-Mile-Drive ... haven't
done it since I had my old Stella in college:) But I understand the traffic
is worse now...maybe early in AM would work!

2023-11-07 Thread Chester
Super similar to 1Up racks are the ones made by QuikrStuff, licensing
design by the creator of the 1Up rack design:

https://quikrstuff.com/

Looks like he refined the design in at least a few nice ways. They're
backordered with lead time estimated at 2 months, according to their
website.

Another vote for the 1UP. Their "wheel stop" accessory/add-on holds my
fendered bike very well (https://1up-usa.com/product/wheel-stop). You can
also adjust the arms to mount bikes with smaller wheels. (As small as 16").

[RBW] A. Homer Hilsen fender clearance

2023-11-07 Thread Ryan Ray
Does anyone have first hand experience with fitting fenders in their
Hilsen? I was hoping for 700x50mm Stainless Berthouds but as I need to oder
them from EU I was hoping to see if anyone has tried it first. Or another
fender combo work well? I have the R559s but I will switch brakes if I have
to!

[RBW] Re: Bedrock Mountain Clogs in Stock!

2023-11-07 Thread DavidP
Brent, Steve - appreciate the comparisons to Chacos in terms of arch
support. I've been curious about Bedrocks but unsure about the footbed. As
someone who manages plantar fasciitis by using SuperFeet insoles in most of
my shoes, Chacos are comfortable for me to wear all day and I've come to
really enjoy biking in them with or without socks. The standard soles are
bit thick and chunky; the Volv soles are noticeably lighter and still work
for me on the bike with good sized platform pedals.

Thanks,
-Dave
