Re: [RBW] WTB: Clem L 45cm

2020-07-22 Thread Justin Lai
No problem Kyle— best of luck. I know the 45 Clem L’s are a bit harder to find.
You may be interested in the Velo Orange Polyvalent frameset if you have
trouble finding the Clem 45 L: https://velo-orange.com/products/polyvalent-mk5-1

I may still be interested in purchasing your 52 Clem L frame once everything
else is sorted on your end. Keep me posted!

[RBW] WTB: Clem L 45cm

2020-07-22 Thread Justin Lai
Kyle,

If you’re at all interested in a 45CM Clem H in Grilver, let me know. I may be
interested in a trade. I purchased the bike brand new and complete a few months
ago, and it’s running a tad small for me.

Will do. I picked up the SOMA demi porteur

aforementioned iBOB thread for a great price. I'll snap a photo and upload
here once it's installed.

[RBW] Re: Bosco / Clem riders: Do your knees hit the bars?

2020-06-27 Thread Justin Lai
Hi, I'm 2-3 inches taller than you and also have a 45cm Clem H (2017 model)
with 55cm Boscos. I bought the bike complete a few months ago, so I'm
assuming I have the 110mm stem (Although I haven't measured it myself).

To answer your question, I haven't had the issue you described with my bars
and knees. I actually have never had a bike fit me so perfectly! How much
turn are we talking about, when your knees make contact with the bar? Would
you mind sharing a photo of your build-in-progress?

For what it's worth, I'm currently "Riv-ing" my partner's 1995ish
Rockhopper. I picked up some 52cm bosco bars for her along with a 110mm
nitto stem, and we unfortunately experienced the exact issue you described.
The fix ended up being tilting the saddle back around 5 degrees, and
sliding the saddle back as far back as it was safe to do so. The shift in
the saddle made all the difference.

I’m looking for a nice front rack for the Wald basket on my Clem.

Not looking for anything particularly fancy, as I’m planning on adding a rear
rack for my panniers later on once I’m commuting again.

Thanks!

Thanks, Leah! The Clem has been an absolute blast; it feels like I'm in a
totally different class of vehicle, unlike any bike I've ever ridden.
Loving your IG posts with your decked out Clem family as well! Cheers.
