Hello, Can you provide some measurements, TT for example, thanks! Kate On Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 10:14:19 AM UTC-4, George Chalekian wrote: Mostly immaculate. $2,500. Not a dignified life for such a bike so I'm posting it here, and only here, first. So why not Rando or bicycle camp then? Frankly, not much opportunity on the small island of Oahu. I say mostly immaculate because there are a few dings in the paint. Otherwise, the bicycle lived in the house or next to my desk at the office and still has that original clear coat shine because except for grocery duty it was never locked up our left outside. [RBW] Re: Any 60cm Cheviots in the Boston area?
Hello! I have a 58 Yves Gomez, but I'm not sure it would help, as the wheels are 650b (vs 700c on the 60). I saw a 62 Betty Foy recently at Harris - did you ask, or has it been sold? He test rode a 55cm model at Harris and liked it well enough, but thought he could possibly go bigger. After test riding a 60 and a 55 myself at RivHQ today, I have to say that there's something pretty special to the cabin cruiser like ride of the 60. Is there anybody in the Boston area who has a 60 that would be willing to let my dad test ride it? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups RBW Owners Bunch group. [RBW] Re: Custom Paint: Army Green or Tuxedo Black?
I have a shiny black Yves, with cream accents (not the head tube though), and honey brooks (darkening) and metal fenders which is quite attractive, and easy to touch up. The bike obviously doesn't look like the kind of bike most people ride, but I think the black helps it blend in better. However, green is one of my favorite colors, especially for bikes, and I have seen pictures (on this site) of a dark green Yves and a light sparkly green Betty - if they were available as an option, without extra waiting, even at a higher price, I would probably have picked green. In short, for a custom bike, I would get a special custom color. Kate -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups RBW Owners Bunch group. Re: [RBW] Re: My wife's new Betty Foy
Thanks! I ask because I have a 9cm on my 58, and am considering going longer (currently, bars are tilted down, even with the saddle, which I like), but am afraid to make changes and make it worse, as it bothered me before, but I've gotten somewhat used to it by now. Also what tires, thanks, Kate On Monday, July 15, 2013 9:35:50 AM UTC-4, Addison wrote: Hi Kate, It's a 55 cm. She mostly went with the standard build kit which looks to be an 11 cm stem but I haven't measured it. Still decided if she wants the bars a little higher or not. [RBW] Betty Foy/Yves Gomez stem question
I am a female, 5'6, 84 PBH with an Yves, fist full of seat post showing, 9cm nitto technomic stem. The albatross bars feel a little too close - angled them down and lowered them, so the stem is level with the saddle, which helped. I thought a longer stem (11 or 12) would be better - but the LBS cautioned it would put more weight on my hands, and longer stems are usually for men, who often have shorter legs and longer torsos. I have long legs for my height, and possibly long arms for my height. Also, my neck gets tense, would a longer stem make that worse? Most of the internet chatter about stem length discuss drop bars, not a-bars. What stem length are other women on the Betty/Yves using - I prefer being somewhat leaned over, not too upright!
