Re: [RBW] Re: Bikelessness

2019-03-29 Thread Ryan Mallory Fleming
I agree with Roberta and Joe about calling the LBS on it. And I know, dear
Bicycle Belle that you won't be a harpy .. You are too articulate and kind
to be like that. And the BBITW would blush with shame..I am sure the LBS
will do the right thing.by you as I'm sure you are a good customer. they
would be sorry to lose. It's a crazy time for bike shops in spring

[RBW] Re: PSA - 1999 Riv All Rounder

2019-03-21 Thread Ryan Mallory Fleming
it's a beauty...but more like a 96 or 97. Built by Waterford. Has W
seat-stay attachments and Reynolds 753 w 531 fork.. I know this because I
own one but mine is metallic green w. cream headtube. Classic build and
looks like it's in nice shape

[RBW] Re: New BLAHG

2019-03-10 Thread Ryan Mallory Fleming
That's the one posted in an earlier email I mentioned last week. That's
some crazy fillet brazing. I noticed when I got my mixte a couple of years
ago that the curvy reinforcing struts in the rear triangle were fillet
brazed to the seat stays. I know the MIT bikes are very well-made...but
man, the artistry of the customs is exquisite. When you think that Mark
Nobilette may retire soon...you could spend money on worse things. I'm glad
Grant found another source for lugs...I'd hate to see them go away
