[RBW] Re: 650B for the long haul?
Not sure exactly but he likely be on the edge of needing something larger than a 60. Not even an option it would seem. Perhaps that's the issue. I'll ask. [RBW] Re: 650B for the long haul?
Hmmm, interesting. I certainly could have looked into that myself but I thought he already had. He's certainly larger than a 56 so this whole thing is much ado about nothing apparently. I do appreciate everybody's advice and opinions on the 650 issue though, as does he. [RBW] Re: 650B for the long haul?
Thanks everybody. I forwarded the link to this thread and I'm sure it will help him make his decision. When I spoke to him last night, he had moved on (thanks to you) from concern over the tire/rim issue to one of geometry in the larger sizes. I'm going to bring him with me when I visit RBWWHL to pick-up my custom. That should push him off of the fence. --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups RBW Owners Bunch group. [RBW] 650B for the long haul?
I have a friend who is seriously considering purchasing a Hillborne for his next bike. His only hesitation is committing to 650B given the fact that he tends to hang on to bikes for a long time. His specific concern is the availability of tires, tubes, wheels several years from now. I know there are a lot of folks here who ride and love 650B. What would you say to him to allay his fears? Thanks! --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups RBW Owners Bunch group. [RBW] Re: Selle Anatomica
Wow. Thanks for all the great discussion. I'm still not sure what I'm going to do but I have a bit of time to decide. The frame goes to JB on Friday for paint. I have a Specialized Alias on my Seven MTB and love it for that application. Also used it on my Ritchey Road Bike for the 104 mile El Tour de Tucson last year with no complaints. If only they looked as good as a Brooks. The B-17 Imperial certainly looks interesting. --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups RBW Owners Bunch group. [RBW] Selle Anatomica
Hello Bunchers, I am really close to taking delivery on my Custom Riv. and am now trying to decide on an appropriate saddle. I am 6' 3 195 lbs. and the bike will be a 700c with clearance for 42s, drop bars, etc. I have a Brooks B-17 that has seen limited use, which I am considering having slotted (slotted saddles are much more comfortable for me) by Selle Anatomica. My other thought was to get a Titanico. I noticed that Riv no longer carries Selle Anatomica saddles. Does anybody know why? Has anyone here had their Brooks slotted? I'm all ears, thanks! --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups RBW Owners Bunch group.
