[RBW] Secu clips for front fender
My wife's bike has SKS fenders with the secu clips holding the front fender stays to the drop out braze on. When a stick popped up between the tire and stays, the clips did their thing perfectly. However, now I can't get the fender stays to slip back into the secu clips. What is the secret? Thanks for any pointers. [RBW] Re: Garage Sale
Two of the small Saluki frames, after a bit of haggling with John, went for $800 apiece. Nice! Also nice was an almost completly built-up Ramb marked $1500 that after haggling, went for $1200. If that had been in my size, I would have snapped it up in a second. Lots of fun, even though I only got a screamin' deal on a Merino wool turtlneck/ zip top. Perfect for under a windbreaker or rain jacket. Lotsa people there, too. Some of the sections (stuff was grouped by price, $5, $10, $20, etc.) were completly cleaned out. Riv WHQ now has some space in which to start squirreling away stuff for the next garage sale. Reid -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups RBW Owners Bunch group. [RBW] Re: Garage Sale
Nothing at all wrong with them. Standard Riv frames, headbadges and all. Seems that Riv really meant Garage Sale! Get it all outta here! Reid On Oct 2, 7:19 pm, Johnny Alien johnnyal...@verizon.net wrote: What was wrong with the frames that they went that low? Seems like frame specials on the site are always marked way higher than that. The photos on the site had frames with no headbadges. Were they lacking in any way? [RBW] Re: Reminder: Garage Sale and Ride
Can anyone tell me the mileage from Riv WHQ to the top of Mt. Diablo? I'm considering the ride. And yes, I know that the hard part is elevation gain, not mileage, but with elevation (that I know) and mileage, I can gauge just how much I'll embarass myself if I try the ride. Thanks! [RBW] Re: MUSA Knickers
I use riding knickers from one of those high-end brand$. Why not Rivs? 'Cause to my eyes, strictly my taste, the Riv knickers with the contrasting colored crotch look totally dorky. And I'm not getting black, because I use them all year around and black is too hot in the summer. I'd certainly get some Riv knickers if they offered other-than- black with all panels the same color. Shoreline park is fine, 4:00 is fine, or 4:30 if you need it to be actually after 4:00. What location in Shoreline is convenient for you? I generally enter from the Embarcadero/101 bike overpass, so I can easily cruise from there to any where else in the park. Let me know where and I'll be there. [RBW] Re: Any Interest of doing a S240 in Bay Area?
I've always been interested in the S24O that Riv used to do up Mt. Diablo in May. Spring is nice as the mtn has a lot of green then. If anyone has good ideas for pressuring Riv into another official Mt. Diablo Riv S24O next year, let me know. Otherwise, I'm seriously considering organizing an unofficial reprise of that ride, with a start at Riv World HQ. As next May is way in the future, I'm also interested in an easier, earlier S24O with other Riv riders. September also sounds good to me. I'm not too creative about a destination, so you guys pick a place. Reid -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups RBW Owners Bunch group. Because those are just the standard chrome/silver-type finish. The gold-tone (brass) finish on the Soma's is what caught my eye. Maybe that's a market opportunity for Velo-Orange?
