It's more like a *barrio* car repair shop than any American bicycle shop
I've seen, though Stevie's in Corrales, NM where I do occasional work is
close -- a neighborhood bike shop that repairs and sells what the
neighborhood wants and rides, a lot of lowish end runabouts.
I suppose that such a business can survive without grief only in a society
with a more aggressive redistributive taxation system.
That said, I'm not giving up my multi-thousand, self indulgent, Rivendells
any day soon.
