Got back from a very eventful trip to Chicago. While there was at the REI
in Lincoln Park browsing around. Was at the service area and chatting with
the guy behind the counter inquiring about cable donuts and saw a bin of
stuff with a couple frames. They were going to be recycled and the top tube
was sawed through. One of the frames was a burgundy Trek 800 sport in 16.5"
size, not my size. Was wanting a cable stop for a project. Guy let me take
the frame and fork to hack out what I needed.

The frame looked hardly used. Like it was bought, ridden here and there and
possibly ended up a REI for repair and abandoned. Don't know why they
wouldn't just donate it to one of the several community bike shops in
Chicago.

If anyone wants this for, whatever for free let me know. I have enough
projects without taking on another one.

Thanks,

Reginald Alexis
