I was thinking about trying out some different bars on my old 80’s Trek Antelope. Ergon grips have made the original bars (riser bars with a few degrees of swep) more comfortable for long rides, but I start wanting more hand positions after a while.
I had been considering (and still am) Albastaches, but have also thought about Chocos. The only problem with the Chocos is they will come back too far for me. I have the short Tektro mtb levers, sunrace shifters, and ergon grips. It seems I could fit all if that in much shorter section of bar, while still keeping the nice looking curved forward grip section. Anybody ever cut this section down a bit?
