I'll send photos to anyone seriously interested. If the frame sells with bottom bracket and headset for 1100.00 then I'll part it otherwise complete bike only. I know it takes someone wanting the bike and big enough for it.. and once again.. I'll keep it before giving it away... For sale: orange *Rivendell Rambouillet*, size 56. Pictures are here (too big to post here, sorry): https://www.flickr.com/photos/88267393@N02/sets/72157649103109202/ There is a long story behind this sale, but the too long; didn’t read abridged version: I bought this bike locally, never really rode it, had a 2 nd baby, sold the bike, turned out to be the wrong size post-sale, and bought it back to make right as a result. Now it’s for sale again. In the meantime, the bike’s componentry and working condition has been significantly improved from my original purchase, and it is 100% tuned and ready to ride. The bike is currently located in New Hampshire with a mechanic who has meticulously fixed it up. It was advertised to me as a size 60 Ram—my first mistake was never confirming this. The actual center of BB to top of seat tube is just about 56cm, so this appears to be a size 56 Ram. *Size* *Seat Angle* *Head Angle* *Fork Rake* *Top Tube* *Chain Stay* *BB Drop* *Stand Over* *56* *72.0* *72.5* *4.5* *55.5* *43.5* *7.7* *80.8* Two issues, up front: · the prior owner thought that the paint on the top tube was too chipped (“beausage”) and decided to re-paint it orange himself; the top tube orange is a little darker than the rest of the frame. The new paint is pretty good, and the rest of the frame is pretty clean. · The bars are 25.4 while I think the stem is 26.0, so a Nitto shim (http://www.rivbike.com/product-p/hb91.htm) is installed. Works great. To the good stuff: the bike is 9 speed, with: Ritchey 110bcd black compact cranks (brand new BB), Dura Ace 7700 shifters, new Tektro bigmouth brakes bought from Riv (works with this 700c setup and should work for a 650b conversion (not sure, but SHOULD), Ultegra-level (just re-packed) headset, new 12-27 cassette, new chain, light road wheels, 25mm tires, some nice pedals. Comes with the Specialized saddle and 27.2 post as well. But most importantly, the Rambouillet. *I'm asking $1,300*. Given that a comparable Roadeo or AHH goes for quite a bit more frame/fork only, I think we all know this is a good deal, especially now that the bike is tuned and riding great. *Actual packing + shipping from New Hampshire is extra*; I’ve talked with the mechanic who has the bike, and he will pack the back and facilitate the pickup with the purchaser from their delivery service of choice. [RBW] FS: Rivendell Rambouillet 50cm
Hello All, 50cm Rivendell Ram for sale. It is from the stock blue and we are the original owners. It is in brand new condition and was ridden less than 30 miles- grad school, baby, and another on the way means it just never got ridden. Always stored inside. Everything is stock as it came from Rivendell with pink bar tape and interrupter levers added. No pedals or saddle. There is a small discoloration on the cream head tube that is only obvious if you look for it. It came this way and it is just a variation in the paint color. I would like to get $2300 for it and that includes professional packing and shipping. I am in Bismarck, North Dakota and would be willing to drive as far as Fargo for a local sale. I figure $2100 for a local sale? Email for pictures or with questions. Will consider any reasonable offers. Would like to see this bike ridden and not sitting in my garage. Cheers! So I recently bought this beautiful Rambouillet from member Steve. And after a funny receiving it a funny thing happened. I took the frame down to the basement placed next to the other bikes, other frames, other wheelsets and other bike related stuff. Then I took a good look at everything, I assessed the stable and came to the realization that this is too much! and I can't possibly have every Rivendell ever existed (I own a Saluki Atlantis as well) and that (fill in the number) of bikes is quite enough. Pristine condition Rivendell Rambouillet...comes with original box! I'm not sure who'd get excited about the original box but I'm sure there's a few folks. I purchased this early '12 (or late '11) via CL and it's in amazing condition! The prior owner stated a few hundred miles it shows! I never built it up but kept it safely tucked away. Apart from the protective clear stickers on the headtube bike shop decal on downtube (both of which can be removed w/ no problem) it's next to mint. Anyways, they don't make 'em like this anymore. I checked with my local shop with regards to a professional pack and ship. The quote was $200 for the complete bike without the racks/bag. I can try to ship those separately for an additional fee or the shop can probably send them for a total shipping cost of $225 (includes insurance). I am attaching a few pics and will send along others. So, cost would be $1300 for local pickup, $1500 for professional packing and shipping (minus racks/bag) or probably $1525 including the racks and bag. This bike is a great randonneuring bike.Please let me know off list if you're interested. Would love it to go to a good home and continue to serve as a great brevet bike. Would also consider trading for a like sized (48cm) Hunqapillar. Been riding alot more dirt than pavement lately. Just got this, this summer from Jim at Hiawatha. He built it up for his wife who did not ride it alot and then I bought it. I LOVE this bike but think it might be a tad on the tall side for me. Not alot but enough to make me think I would prefer a 53cm Roadeo. Blue 54cm frame, Ultegra RD, 105 FD, Silver DT shifters, Noodle bars with shellac'd green tape. Campy Veloce crankset and nice fat but fast Kojak tires. Comes just like I got it without saddle or pedals for the price I paid which is $1850 shipped. I am a lurker here but haven't really posted. This bike will be appreciated here, if anywhere. for sale is my 56 cm Rivendell Rambouillet (2006). It has been ridden in the rain (Failed PBP attempt, 2007) but never crashed, dropped, etc. There are definitely some scratches in the paint as I tried to show in the photos, (worst by the LL in Rambouillet on the downtube) but still in what I would call good to VG condition for a bike that has been ridden on a number of long brevets. Why the sale? I haven't been riding it much. Used my Serotta for this season’s brevets. It is a better fit for me but obviously lacks some of the functionality of the Rivendell. This sale will partially fund a custom “Randonneuse” that my wife doesn’t know about yet.
