Re: [RBW] How are you guys putting Hetres on Rambouillets???

Thanks, I was unsure as to use the decaleur but that makes a lot of sense. I
will use it for a light to start.

[RBW] How are you guys putting Hetres on Rambouillets???

I needed a winter project and started this a few weeks ago. Thanks to the
others that came up with this idea. I weigh 200, and the extra air in the
tires makes this a more comfortably bike than with JB Greens. I have another
650b steed (Rawland rSogn) set up as a commuter, and have done a couple other
conversions so I had the wheels and parts except for the DiaCompe 750's as side
pulls wouldn't work in the back. I plan for fenders and the Grand Ene front
rack. No long rides, but it is Cush!

Bottom bracket is 260 from a concrete floor, and the cranks are 170's.

2013-02-04 Thread Lee Chae
Hi Michael. Just an aside here, but if you plan to use a handlebar bag with
the Grand Ene front rack, it will most likely break under a regular load
unless you are also using a decaleur that is bearing the weight. Mine broke
carrying a very light load. And I've read reports of others breaking, too.

2013-01-31 Thread Michael
Two of you have posted that you have Hetres on Rams. But I thought Rams
have fork clearance for 35mm wide tire, at most.

And aren't Rams 26 or 700c wheels?
